#2646717 Gonzo in Carolina Blue?

Posted by theDIRTYcode on 08 February 2014 - 11:54 AM

Gonzo can't just go to any team he wants, we have his rights as he is still under contract.

That said, this ESPN article about to be released has pissed off a lot of Atlanta fans. Just from reading some of the excerpts, Gonzo comes across as a whiney kid, ala Brett Favre. We paid him 7 million, excused him from OTAs, minicamp, half of training camp, and then he sat by his phone at the trade deadline waiting to go to Seattle. Fug you Gonzo, you helped earn that 4-12 record, you get to go down with us.

Congrats on winning the NFCS Carolina, and more importantly, preventing the jazz listening, fat lady singing, voodoo praying, tree fishing, gumbo eating, toothless, swamp rat mother fuggers from Piss Bowl City from getting a bye!

Even in losing, I couldn't help but smile.

#1929275 If Cam Newton yelled 'get off my f***in field'

There would be a double standard for Cam, we as Falcon fans saw it with Vick, until we all figured out he actually was a complete fugging moron(and I'm not saying that's what Cam is either). Ryan is very, very PC and it was nice to see this from our QB for a change, but it's probably the only time you will see it. I'm sure the beating he took yesterday was part of it too. Charles Johnson had something to prove yesterday.

We should have lost that game, every statistic known to man says that. We'll take the win, and not look forward to the trip to Charlotte.

like you did for julio?

sorry....team that gives up that much for the 2nd best WR of a draft can't talk about other teams overpaying.

Please, the draft and FA are not equal. We had to move up 21 spots, we gave up a 1st, 2, and 2 4ths. You paid 40 million for 3 more sacks.

He should just say he took the big money...no harm in that.

#1269430 Since Atlanta is the biggest threat to sign CJ

Posted by theDIRTYcode on 17 July 2011 - 11:02 AM

There were two sources, not just one.
The Falcons and CJ's agent know the Falcons will not even enter a bidding war because they cannot afford it. So, why would CJ wait beyond the 72 hour window to take a chance. Maybe they will overpay, as you say, but you don't know what he is worth. Nobody does. If he gets double digit sacks for the next 6 years, did they overpay?

This 72 hour window thing is a little stupid. Top FA's aren't gonna care about it. It's not like teams are gonna withdraw their offers because the player waited to see what else he could get. And no, you can't over pay a 6 year double digit sack guy.

I'm not even getting baited into the Julio talk :P

La Confora knows as much about the Falcons as my mother-in-law. How moving up for a WR in the draft says anything about Dimitroff beliefs in the FA DE class is beyond me. We can't outbid the Panthers, but we can afford 10 million a year (Dahl won't be back and neither will Claybo if he gets what everyone is speculating). The Panthers will have to overpay to keep him, not the other way around.

#1260051 NOW I know where I've seen Julio Jones face from!

maybe, but he is definitely better than any wr on the falcons not named roddy white, hows that sound?

Accurate....
