of all the things we could bitch about regarding this god awful franchise... you're going with this? smith hiptossing that fool was one of the only highlights in todays game... everyone else showed me NOTHING

Problem is people think that was impressive.....

it wasn't.....Seattle got the best of Smith.

I still love it. Love the intensity. Only player on the team that seems to give a poo whatsoever. I see more passionate play from the girl in RF on my Wednesday night coed softball team than I do from anyone else on the Panthers. Nobody cares. Say what you want about being composed, ill take a guy that slams his helmet when he fumbles the ball, knocks over a Gatorade cooler when he gives up a TD. Something. Anything. This team is fuging lifeless and it starts at the top.

It's taken damn near twenty years, but I've finally accepted I am a fan of a garbage team, and I expect them to lose each week from here on out. If they don't, that's awesome, but I had an emotional epiphany today that if nobody on the team gives a damn, why should I?

Ill watch this team every Sunday from now until forever, but I'm not gonna let it fug up my blood pressure or stress me out anymore. Ill just sorta roll with whatever happens.

What you are enjoying is a selfish player at work.....

don't confuse immaturity as passion.....that often is the case with Smith.

you weren't watching your own team then because Cam threw to Ben Hartsock. No wonder you suck ass

Oh, my bad. I just told the TE coach to throw in one of them. Didn't matter.

Thanks again,

hey huddle,

I know a lot of you wanted us to go for it last week on 4th and 1 so I was prepared for it this week. Having Cam jump over the pile is too easy we all know that. Lining up in power formation and have Cam or Stewart grind out one also is too conventional. With the game on the line and only needing a small yard.....I rolled Cam to throw it to Ritchie Brockel. Yeah, Brockel is who I want dialed in with the game on the line. Cam missed him. It's all Cams's fault. Yeah, I realize Cam was off target ALL game and realize short yardage throws were off all night...but I shouldn't be forced to execute easy and high percentage plays. You don't get a mad scientist label doing easy stuff boys and girls....nor should I play call away from weak areas of players and to strengths.

#1938068 Issue isn't Cam

Jumping on Cam is just the easy out.....

Yeah, he has fuged up a lot.....but the coaches are a bigger issue. You don't start with the small problems....you start with the big ones. One play doesn't win or lose a game.....Chud and Rivera lose games though.

#1938030 Issue isn't Cam

Cam fumbled last week for the win and missed a wide open receiver for the goahead score this week. I defended cam til the end but no more. He just simply isn't clutch

Fumbles happen. Ask Williams....Stewart, Smitty, anyone. Effort plays result in those sometimes....

Bottom line is if Carolina needs a yard the ball should stay on the ground. yeah, Cam messed it up on the pass....but the right call last week and this week was to go for it on 4th down....ON THE GROUND. That is where the documented success is for the scenario......so pointing that out is just Chud always doing the unneeded.

#1937959 Issue isn't Cam

No need for 76 posts trying to pin blame on a 23 yr old kid still learning the toughest position in all of sports when it is glaring what the problem is.....

Chud, Rivera and Marty.....that is the reason we see such slop.

is it Cams's fault Double Trouble had a combined 23 rushings yards (26 if we add Tolbert)? No

Is it Double Trouble's fault? No.

Is it the OLs fault they are asked to pass protect almost every down for a quirky offense that put the world on Cams's shoulders? No.

Issue is painfully obvious....the coaches and GM are doing 2 different things. The real problem is.....both have painfully flawed plans so it isn't as if getting on the same page would make us great right now.

We don't need to give Rivera more time. Move on after this year. He isn't a HC. Chud is a bad match for Cam. Doesn't gameplan to help a young QB grow and play to his strengths.....he focus' on simply highlighting him every snap which is the recipe for ruining a young QB. I have always endorsed building an offense around #1.....but that doesn't mean he should be the offense. That doesn't work and is lazy and above all.....dumb.

And Steve Smith is a hypocritical prick.....and I said it when he lashed out through the media weeks ago. 89 is as immature as it gets. Doesn't matter if he can say the right things when he cools off away from football.....in a football environment he is immature.

Don't like that timeout.....we might need it since Seattle will get the ball back regardless of what we do here

We are so lucky

We don't call it luck when opponents make plays when opportunities present themselves

We should not be winning but somehow we are.

This is what happens for other teams.....they dont win games bc their QB plays lights out every week. The rest of the team steps occasionally......would be nice to see the rest of the team win a game. would be a good confidence builder for the overall team

#1935492 Armanti Edwards plays from Sunday.

Posted by CRA on 05 October 2012 - 06:32 PM

Now that we have seen Cam line up at wr a couple times...we should actually throw it on a go route. Right now every team will laugh when we have Cam at WR just like we do on the huddle. Then boom catch them sleeping.

I don't think teams laugh....they laugh when other QBs do it. Cam has 60 yard reception in the NFL and made a real catch at Auburn.....

CBs ain't laughing at a tank that is bigger and more athletic than most of them lining up across from them....

It is almost a sure thing that Chud has something being brainstormed. Wait till they get Cam matched up with a little garbage CB on an island with Armani at the wildcat....they might take that shot

#1935314 Cam Newton - "I'm A Football Player" WTF

Posted by CRA on 05 October 2012 - 03:09 PM

The main problem is this college offense we run 50% of the time. Cam's a running threat whether you have those plays in there or not. So if the only reason we got them in there is to provide the threat of Cam running the ball, these plays are a major waste of time. They hurt more than they help.

I'm puzzled, Andrew Luck is pretty much a dual threat QB. He's not Cam, but he is close. I seen this guy lay out of couple of cats in college, and even forced a fumble while knocking a guy out. Yet I don't see the Colts running the bogus wildcat/read option plays. Why is that? You see this brings up an interesting question altogether. If Cam was white, would we be seeing these packages for 50% of our offensive playcalling? Or would we be running the full pro style offense, with these packages every blue moon to mix things up?

So...in the 20 games of the Newton era you deem the college offense that has given us the best ground attack and most explosive offense during that 20 game stretch.....is the problem.

I'll disagree and go defense and ST is the issue.

#1935018 What would it take for you to stop being a Panthers fan?

But my degree of fandom can change. Could go from hardcore to casual. Appears no real desire to make the moves to be a legit contender.....if it continues and Cam says enough is enough and gets his way to get out of Carolina......I will probably tone it down and devote my fandom elsewhere (another team I support not in the NFL)
