#1969148 Smitty cost us the game

Posted by CRA on 28 October 2012 - 08:01 PM

Well, we shouldn't of been passing

And yeah, Smith slipping causes the pick 6.....

But that happens in football. The coaching is what is costing us wins.

#1968934 After debating this all day, I would be fine with the Panthers trading DeAnge...

Posted by CRA on 28 October 2012 - 07:04 PM

umm, the fact that deangelo isn't playing, means Carolina is showcasing Jstew. Jstew is on the trading block guys, not Deangelo.

Yeah, trading the young RB that fits in more offensive schemes.....makes a lot of sense over an aging Williams.

Cam can't win.....

People just looking to pounce

There it is! Read option for a yard and change! Now third and long but it's cams fault

They haven't done the read option.....

Those are just a handoffs from shotgun.....and every team in the NFL runs them. No delay.....Cam just faked

#1965662 What's your choice of alcohol when watching the Panthers get beat down?

Posted by CRA on 27 October 2012 - 04:28 PM

Questionable looking moonshine.

It tends to numb the pain the quickest.

I get the sense that Cam and Luke would never hang out. Ever. I wonder if they've even spoken to each other before.

really? Cam seems like he could hang with anyone. I think the fact Cam would run onto the practice field and chase Luke down after an INT shows they are friendly.

#1965447 Has Rivera lost the team?

Posted by CRA on 27 October 2012 - 01:06 PM

Rivera sounds like a "yes man" to me in how he has described his role for the balance of the season.

.....................I see absolutely no confidence in his voice and/or vocabulary during any interview with the media..........he will often repeat or studder like in a ship without a rudder just trashing through the water.

Mark my words........we end up at best 3-13............

He was turned down for a head coaching job prior to the Panthers 9 times by other NFL teams.............

If this guy is savvy and sharp..... then he is putting on the best acting job I've ever seen from a coach..........

Mark my words again.......this will be his last job as a head coach in the NFL....................

Outside of the flukey NYG matchup ( see Tenn last year)....We have lost our other games by an average of about 4 pts a game.

We have lost close games to some pretty decent teams. Eventually we will see things even out like last year. Unless the team quits, 5-7 wins should be realistic.

Both are likely the best overall player on their side of the ball. Both need to have their units built around them.

#1961164 Update on cap situation new GM will inherit.

Posted by CRA on 24 October 2012 - 10:20 AM

I almost wonder if the gut the roster part is such a bad thing. This team seems to have an ideological clash in the locker room between the "new, modern, 2012" mentality and some of the "good ole boys" left over from the previous regime.

Can't completely gut it....won't have cap room to bring in real bodies to replace them.

#1960488 Why the New Offense?

Posted by CRA on 23 October 2012 - 09:28 PM

Chud got lazy....just putting the ball in Cam's hands. His emphasis is on "gadget" and crazy plays....makes him stand out more. Build off the hype generated last year that the mad scientist is a great play caller.

What got lost in his big chunk offense that is pretty much the Cam show....is what is needed to actually win games and to help a young QB grow.

Said all offseason Chud was overrated and was getting by off what Cam was doing.....I still think that is true. We are seeing why he was fired in Cleveland. Failure to adjust and realize he is part of the problem

#1960469 Stewart the new featured RB

Posted by CRA on 23 October 2012 - 09:11 PM

C'mon bro... Think... At his age, compared to his actual # of carries ( very low when compared to other RB's his age)... He is better than a spring chicken... His legs are fresh as hell... No worries about DeAngelo on my end

Father time is still Father Time.....people keep pimping his carries and overlook had 2 to 3 times the touches entering the NFL as a majority of RBs.

Williams contract was always dumb....a thank you for what he did. Teams don't pay aging runners with young horses in the stable....and Stewart is ready to explode. Williams already peaked.

#1960229 Fair criticism of Cam.....but

Posted by CRA on 23 October 2012 - 06:55 PM

I love how the media chooses to treat his suggestion box comment as a serious statement.....

They talk about Cam's immaturity....treating that comment as serious must mean they have IQs of 3 yr olds

#1960049 If Cam was half the leader that..

Posted by CRA on 23 October 2012 - 04:47 PM

Delhomme was, this team would be winning more game.

Curious how.many other can even admit this.

If Delhomme had the work load Cam does......we wouldn't.

Give Cam the old school Panther front 4 and we would have won a ton of these close games....I'd say 70% of them (which most of Cam's 22 have been)

#1959476 Yet another opinion on the Panthers woes

Posted by CRA on 23 October 2012 - 12:28 PM

Well our OL is....

Gross, rookie, backup C, Undrafted 2nd year player, Undrafted backup RT.

And a lot is asked of the OL just like Cam.

It all goes back to coaching and coaching asking too much of players. I mean they could work on some power runs and use our Gs in clear roles....Bell and Amini can run block.

#1958531 our team is having too much fun again

Posted by CRA on 22 October 2012 - 10:48 PM

I bet they are dancing. Dancing is a sin
