Topics I've Started

Brian Quick

17 February 2012 - 03:27 PM

Brian Quick is freaking awesome. I'll admit it, the past few App State draft picks haven't been all that great (i.e. Armanti Edwards, Dexter Jackson, Corey Lynch) but i've watched this guy play for 4 years & he's the possession receiver we've been needing. Great hands, speed, body frame & work ethics. Nothing like retarded Dwayne Jarrett. I'd say draft him sometime in the 3rd-4th round if possible

Honest App State Fan

I am a App State graduate (Class of '10) & I've watched AE play football live for four years so I know what I'm talking about. Unless AE begins to produce DRAMATICALLY next year, he'll be cut by training camp. Drafting him in the 3rd round sacrificing a 2nd rounder as a PR/WR was not a very smart move. He's fantastic at Wildcat but that's it. Sorry Hurney & my fellow App State buds, but Armanti is not a PR/WR & wasn't worth a 3rd rounder & future 2nd rounder.

I'm impressed with everyone Rivera has done except...

Releasing John Kasey & signing Olindo Mare. Rivera should have kept Kasey for at least another season just to see what he can still do. Mare has blown at least 2 possible wins now.

Aaron Curry Discussion

I know it's already been discussed, but I think trading for Aaron Curry really is possible. Davis is likely to be released after this year & Curry could be a great WLB. Plus, he already has shown interest in the Panthers:

When packfan_1995 mentioned to Curry that the Seahawks had enjoyed a big win against Arizona, Curry replied, with, "yea they won." Curry also said he would embrace a chance to play for the Carolina Panthers

If we trade with Seattle for Curry, what do you think we could manage to trade away?

Rivera & Chud know what they are doing...I think

Makes sense why we've been passing so much; to perfect Cam's passing skills. We ran most of the time last year with Clausen & he sucked panther poo. Something is telling me we're going to run a hell lot more in a few more weeks once Cam shows he knows how to manage the game well & not throw picks
