So when did they find these genes?  I can't find anything about it. In fact everything I see is the opposite.

"The hereditary link of homosexuality has long been established, but scientists knew it was not a strictly genetic link, because there are many pairs of identical twins who have differing sexualities. Scientists from the National Institute for Mathematical and Biological Synthesis say homosexuality seems to have an epigenetic, not a genetic link.:

So we are really splitting hairs now, this is fun.

Epigenetics refers to the phenotypic expression of DNA.  This means that, the DNA that makes you, which there are usually two copies of most genetic sequences, picks and chooses which genetic sequences to bring to the surface.  By saying homosexuality is epigenetic, you are simply stating that the phenotypic expression of homosexuality is not the only way these genes can be expressed.  This is 100% obvious as we look at twin studies.  If there were not epigenetic influence on our DNA, we would have a 1-1 100% twin study.  If you have a  gay twin, you would be 100% likely to be gay.  If you have a gay parent, you would have a 50% chance of being gay.  We understand that it doesn't work like this.  The genetic link is not 1-1, actually twin studies have shown 30% link to pure genetics.  The environment will always play a role in gene expression regardless of the gene itself.  Even the fact that you are a male or female was acted upon by the environment at some point in your development.

Good question though!  I love it!

Arizona Cardinals coach Bruce Arians told FoxSports.com on Wednesday he believes that NFL players and coaches would be accepting of an openly gay player, but he's not so sure fans would feel the same way.

"I don't think the locker room would have any problem with it," Arians said in a telephone interview with the website. "The problem would be with the fans. I think especially opposing fans. Some of the things that are said are over the top and out of control that I can imagine what some fans would say to an openly gay player."

My guess based on my experience here......sadly, he is right.

After reading through these 20+ pages, I have to say it truly saddens me that we have not evolved morally and ethically past this being an issue.  Bigotry, hatred, deep seeded religious based insecurities and misinformation are still strong in the Carolinas.

Gays is not a civil issue... To have that in the same respect as the civil rights is ludacris... Homosexuality is a choice... There is no gay gene...its a perversion... Theres strength in numbers... Its being forced on society...

Okay what you just pointed out that a group of people attacked another group of people because the attackers didn't agree with what the attackees were doing.

Then you come with an interview you did with a victim and how the treatment changed the life.  None of that has anything to do with why the sky is blue nor does it give case studies from test completed to the mental capacity of heteor and gays at the same time.  The only way to come to a conclusion is running test and coming up with data based from the results.

You didn't provide any data for me to sink my teeth in.  What you provided was only subjective and slanted to prove your points.  Just a mere ploy to glide under the radar.  i like the stealth moves but it's not going to work.

You want me to prove that homosexuality is not a psychopathology as you have stated. You showed me an article from the 90's claiming that there was controversy regarding the classification of homosexuality amongst medical professionals.

I presented 3 articles claiming that homosexuality was wrongly identified as a mental disorder (psychopathology).  The book "The Psychoanalyst and the “Homosexual”: A Long, Dark Journey Into Light" outlines that for years, people had it wrong.  They considered homosexuality a disease or mental illness and they were wrong.  The next article talks about the diagnosis of homosexuality being taken out of the DSM.  It is no longer a diagnosable disorder.  The third article is a paper written in the basic sense of the first 2 articles.  I can find more.

Apparently, you are not even sure what you are arguing.

All I would like you to do is admit you were talking out of your ass when you stated that homosexuality was a mental retardation.

Zod, I hope you feel better about the title that you gave me.  If I didn't have a sense of humor that would be borderline illegal.

Do you even read your own posts??? you quoted urban dictionary for fugs sake!  Your other source stated

"People with mental retardation score significantly below average on tests designed to measure intelligence. As a result of their intellectual limits, people with retardation experience difficulties in daily activities such as learning, working, and caring for themselves."

How does this even relate to homosexuality, let alone psychopathology?

if it deals with the mind then it is retardation. Someone that has multiple personalities has a form of retardation.

OK, OK I am being trolled.  I get it, hahaha.  You got me.  No one can actually be this stupid IRL.

Jokes on me.

If people don't choose to be gay then that's a form of mental retardation. Any dude that feels secure cuddled up with another dude is kind of off. Any dude that grows up thinking he can't wait to buy that dress his aunt is wearing isn't all there.

There are all types of retardation and being a functional retard is still chemically off. Once America diagnose them as they are then they will be accepted but to think they are all there and everyone acting like its normal isn't doing them a favor.

Ok, I study neuropsychology for a living.  I have never once heard of a brain injury causing homosexuality.

By saying "They aren't all there" or functionally retarded you are implying that they are less than "normal" people like yourself.  This is narcissistic if not completely bigoted.

Yes, there are multiple genes responsible for homosexuality, just as their are multiple genes responsible for your eye color.  It DOES NOT imply that they are any lesser than anyone else.

Homosexuality has been seen in all cultures, dates back as far as our written text, and has been documented in over 500 species.  It is as natural an occurrence as attached earlobes .

Two consenting adults agree to something makes it "right" or " correct" or "morally defendable" or "proper" or "ok"?

My wife and I agreed that her step-mother-in-law should be murdered for breaking up her mom and dad's marriage.  We are two consenting adults so I guess it's OK.

If you wanna defend your position have at it brah.  Perversion is perversion son.  No two ways about it.

Please don't breed

And some people were born wanting to molest children.  So it's OK and natural.  Let's just all do whatever our minds tell us to.

Yes, because being accepting of homosexuality is the same as pedophilia.  It is a question of consent.  Children do not have the legal, ethical or moral ability to consent to sexual acts.  In my opinion, neither do animals.  Two full grown human beings however, yes, they can.  Your argument is stupid and you should feel stupid
