#2967289 Week 3 Gameday Thread

Posted by ItsNotGonnaBeAlright on Yesterday, 03:12 PM

That argument is complete bull and you know it. Smith has never taken a play or game off. He's always played every game with nothing about effort and heart. He's easily the most competitive player I've ever watched play the game. This is a complete nonsense argument that's being grasped on now that numbers are proving those who said Smith was done wrong. Smith has made comments after the season about wanting to retire, such as after the 2010 season, but he always came back and played with heart.

Keep clinging to narratives, because the numbers don't lie. Cutting Steve Smith was a huge mistake.

Look, we cut Steve Smith because the team doesn't like you and you specifically.

Or you could not make a thread. That's an option.

No way Lovie stays with Mckown all season.

Normally, I'd agree. But it's Lovie Friggin Smith.

Pie for Huddle Podcast reference.

Just helping the Huddle become self-aware.

#2962274 The Shutout

Posted by ItsNotGonnaBeAlright on 18 September 2014 - 09:00 AM

As talked about in the Huddle podcast, many members of the Panthers defense have said that it is their goal to pitch a shutout every game this year. I know, I know, "of course the defense would say that" but something feels a tad different here than just normal confidence speak (confispeak?).

I think this week is one of the best chances this team will have for keeping an opponent off the scoreboard entirely. That said, Tampa was able to move pretty well against us towards the end and two made field goals and one caught TD would have made Detroit a much different story.

So what say you? Will the defense be able to achieve the goal of a shutout, this week or moving forward?

Personally, I say yes and I say it happens Sunday.

Side note: any of you little wimps who think expressing confidence in the team will somehow cause football voodoo to work against us can kindly fug right off. <3

#2961490 Can hardy withdraw his appeal?

Posted by ItsNotGonnaBeAlright on 17 September 2014 - 05:56 PM

If he is not playing or going to be here next year why let him do anything

It isn't a guarantee that he won't be here next year and, as I stated in one of the other threads, it very much seems that the organization is backing Hardy until he his convicted by a jury.

#2961471 Can hardy withdraw his appeal?

Posted by ItsNotGonnaBeAlright on 17 September 2014 - 05:50 PM

No, he can't do anything team oriented.

He can use the facilities and be around team members. He cannot practice or attend meetings.

EDIT: Also, to op, in case you haven't noticed not even the NFL knows how this works.

Major thing I took from the presser: I now fully believe that the front office and team as a whole believe Greg Hardy is innocent.

#2960579 Hardy on Exempt List

Side note: how long has this exemption list been a thing? Don't remember ever hearing about it before.
