#2540786 A loss at just the right time?

Posted by PantherFanOne on 11 December 2013 - 08:31 AM

There is no way I'm at peace with a loss. We had certain weakness  exposed in the Saints game and I feel sure other teams will copy the Saints game plan against us. We are in the playoff crunch mode and I don't see how losing to the Saints could have made the team anymore aware of this situation than they already were.

#2540306 Greg Hardy> Julius Peppers (right now)

Well bump again in 15 years when Hardy gives his speech in Canton.

Let's just hope we can resign Greg Hardy and he retires a Carolina Panther.

I've been saving this one for a while. I totally called a 6th round pick turning into a beast. That has to count for something.

Yeah, you were spot on about Greg Hardy back in 2010.. Salute.

#2531773 Can the Panthers run on New Orleans?

Posted by PantherFanOne on 07 December 2013 - 12:46 PM

Cam needs to get involved in the running game early because we all know we're a better team when he's running the ball. It causes frustration to defensive linemen. I'm sure it's something (defenses) talk about all week is not letting him get out of the pocket.

Running helps getting Cam in the rhythm early,I think as you look at those things the Panthers have  got to make sure they are putting him early into the position to have success. That can equate to a lot of good things.

And not only when he's  running the ball, the threat of Cam taking off is often just as effective as a good run because it opens up other things on offense.

#2531021 Who picked these games

Posted by PantherFanOne on 06 December 2013 - 04:59 PM

The Sunday afternoon games being shown in the charlotte area Sunday are CBS- Miami vs Pittsburgh and fox double header of falcons-packers followed by giants-chargers that's god awful

#2530389 Behind Enemy Lines - New Orleans

Posted by PantherFanOne on 06 December 2013 - 11:20 AM

The Panthers have what it takes to take down the Saints.

The defensive front seven will dominate the line of scrimmage, shutting down New Orleans' rushing attack and putting consistent pressure on Brees. As we've seen in the past, Brees isn't as effective in games in which he's hitting the turf on a regular basis.

On offense, Cam's elusiveness in the pocket will be a problem for New Orleans. His ability to stretch plays with his legs will allow his receivers to get open downfield for a few huge plays, and he's been completing those passes with regularity of late.

We're witnessing a changing of the guard in the NFC South. Carolina is rising, and the Panthers will take control of the division with a stunning road win on Sunday night.

#2529282 Panthers heavily picked to lose by NFL "experts"

Posted by PantherFanOne on 05 December 2013 - 02:25 PM

Only one guy chose them to win, oddly enough, it's by the guy with the best season record...

www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000292869/article/picking-winners-for-week-14-nfl-games

I don't have the link but here is the main part of an ESPN .piece.

Quote:
Upset Watch: Carolina (+3.5) at New Orleans Shocking as it may sound, it is in fact possible for New Orleans to lose a game at home. In fact, the Saints lost four of them at the Superdome last year. Sean Payton hasn't lost a home game as head coach since 2010, but in the 2009 and 2010 regular seasons, the Saints were actually better on the road (13-3) than at home (11-5).
And so the Panthers may be able to make up the Saints' big home-field advantage by virtue of being the better team this year. Football Outsiders overall ratings have the Panthers third and the Saints fourth, but the gap between the two is nearly 10 percentage points, larger than the gap between the Saints and the team ranked 10th. Although both teams are in the top eight among NFL offenses, the Panthers have been significantly better on defense this season.

#2528266 This is Gross: Mike Mitchell

Posted by PantherFanOne on 04 December 2013 - 07:06 PM

The Panthers have been full of nice guys the past five years and they haven't done that great. Mike Mitchell has helped  this team to have an attitude and they are good, there has to be a correlation there.

The Panthers may (or may not) be the best team in football, but they do have the #1 scoring defense in the league and yet their recent starting defense includes a cast off from Oakland (Mitchell), a cast off from Philly (Mikell) and FIVE, yes FIVE rookies (Lotulelei, Klein, White, Short and Lester).so skill plus attitude will take you a long way in the NFL..

#2526211 What to do with this Saints Jersey?

Posted by PantherFanOne on 03 December 2013 - 03:37 PM

So I was at Fox and Hound last night watching the Taints get their ass handed to them. Apparently every Monday night they have jersey giveaways from the teams playing. So last night, my # came up and I competed with 7 other guys in a FG competition outside and WON!! If Gano gets run over by a bus tomorrow, don't worry guys, I can fill in.

But they only had one jersey last night and that was Mark Ingram. It's a real nice Nike jersey (letters stitched on and stuff). So now I am a proud owner of a Saints jersey. So Huddle, I come to you and seek your advice as to what to do with this jersey. Run it over with my car, burn it in glorious fashion after we beat them Sunday night, feed it to a panther at my local zoo, sell it, etc...What do you think?

Sign (autograph) Mark Ingrams name on the back and sell to some dumb ass Saints  fan (Dec. 22nd), then buy some Panthers item from the team store or elsewhere. I realize this sounds mean but both you the Saints fan depart company happy.

#2526185 What Saints Fans are Saying

Posted by PantherFanOne on 03 December 2013 - 03:23 PM

I checked the Saints forum and was real impressed with their fanbase. Seems 50% of them can read, yet only half of those 50% understand what  they read..

What really blew me away was  discovering  the same 50% of Saints fans could  spell words like ( Cat,Dog,,Go,Up,To,Be,The,And), all two or three letter words but struggled when they had to write words with four or more letters. Yes,those  (Who Dat)  Saints fans certainly are a smart bunch,.

#2523541 come in this topic and say why you hate saints and love Panthers

Posted by PantherFanOne on 02 December 2013 - 12:55 PM

Well I'll tell you one reason why I don't like the Saints.. Before they made the playoffs and when they were horrible you didn't see any Saints fans around talking about them but when they started having some success all these Saints fans out of no where saying "who dat." It's so annoying.

Those fans are horrible. I bet if the Saints happen to have a bad season or two you won't see all those so-called "Die-Hard Saints fans." around.

What's not to like about the Panthers?  We have ,River Boat Ron, Superman Cam,Smitty,Luke, Johnson,Hardy,Olson,Ginn,Tolbert,Lafell,Gross,Kalil and a host of others that have given us a great defense and a very good offense
