#3223417 Panther fans voted most polite on social media

Posted by PantherFanOne on Yesterday, 02:17 PM

Nothing wrong with having manners and being polite. When i visit other teams message boards, i like to talk factual football but if a select few want to talk smack,i can get down and dirty with the best of them.

#3223404 Greg Hardy feels sorry for Matt Ryan

Posted by PantherFanOne on Yesterday, 02:10 PM

You know the angle I find interesting here is that the shouldn't be seen as a bad thing even if true. Hardy legally had the guns which means he is not the type of person people are speculating he is.( I would bet a large number of Panthers fans throughout NC have just as many guns as Hardy did.) This actually would play into the narrative he was trying to subdue a belligerent person in his own home without harming her. The guns were on the bed yes, but no one said how they were laid out and I have doubts that in that situation he would even have remembered putting them there. So my theory is that in the midst of trying to get her to calm down, he assumed picking her up and throwing her onto the bed (assuming he doesn't remember that he had his guns out) would be much better for her and wouldn't harm her like throwing her to the floor would.

If he was TRYING to break her arm as she says, he could have and if he truly was trying to harm her he most definitely could have. But when you throw the bed into the story, and hypothetically speaking the guns weren't there, everyone could believe he was truly doing as his version of the story goes, and trying to calm down a person going nuts. So insert the guns, add alcohol, assume he put them there earlier in the day, and he probably didn't recall putting them there.

Personally, I think he is innocent of any domestic violence and guilty of putting himself in a bad situation with a person who has been shown to constantly be in bad situations.

"So would you say that the weed flew out of the window right before your accident?" "Yes ma'am, that is what happened."

Judge: "The complainant is the most credible witness, she saw weed that flies!"

That sums it up pretty nicely. If the super strong NFL player Greg Hardy, had malious and harmful intent in his heart, he not only could have, but would have caused the drunk, crack head woman bodily harm. However, that was not the case and the first judge, a Liberal woman, should have found no sufficient cause and dismissed the case,in her i find fault and place much blame.

#3222217 Interesting Jonathan Stewart rushing stats

Posted by PantherFanOne on 28 January 2015 - 07:46 AM

It's a no brainer that a healty Jonathan Stewart is a big key in us doing well this upcoming season. I just hope Gettleman will have another RB in place to help Fozzy, in case Jonathan gets dinged up.

#3221873 Lafell takes high road in interview about his parting ways with the Panthers

Posted by PantherFanOne on 27 January 2015 - 06:34 PM

Lafell likes catching soft balls.

I have been looking but can't find an interview with LaFell, earlier in the 2014 season. He said something to the effect that Tom Brady threw a softer ball. I thought at the time he meant the velosity but after this Deflate Gate sitrtuation came up,it makes me wonder if that was the case.

#3220814 A shining example of 'The Patriot Way'

This is such a non story. Bitter panther fans are the worst

Spoken like a true Tom Brady jock sniffer.

#3219546 For those who missed Gettleman's interviews, J. Jones got ya covered.

Posted by PantherFanOne on 25 January 2015 - 09:45 AM

I feel we would have been to several Super Bowls if we had gotten Dave Gettleman as our GM several years ago. I like the approach he has taken since he's been here and look forward to more good things happening with him calling the shots as GM.

#3219136 Cam booed courtside at Hawks game...

Posted by PantherFanOne on 24 January 2015 - 03:52 PM

All Hawk's fans aren't Falcon's fans.

Perhaps not but one can almost be assured the ones that booed Cam were Falcon fans.

What goes up, must touchdown.

Super Man in flight. Is there any doubt in your mind? Certainly not in mine.

#3218641 Cam booed courtside at Hawks game...

Posted by PantherFanOne on 23 January 2015 - 09:53 PM

I hate Cam Newton was booed in his home town but it really was a sign the Falcon fans (who arealso  Hawk fans) fear and respect him, after the butt whipping Cam and the Panthers put on their team.

#3218265 Hurney on Pats: Culture of Cheating

Posted by PantherFanOne on 23 January 2015 - 03:41 PM

the rumor I heard is that they were filming our practices from an apartment near the practice field

My bet and opinion, is that the Patriots did indeed film our practices before the Super Bowl. Numerous players for the Panthers said the Patriots seemed to know all of our plays as soon as they lined up.

#3217583 Dave Gettleman to Marty Hurney - You left us a cap mess, but drafted a hell o...

Posted by PantherFanOne on 22 January 2015 - 09:26 PM

Rivera wanted both and begged for them (actually, he begged for Cam--He liked Luke, but he wanted Mark Barron, I think).  Don't forget, Marty had just made an ass of himself when he tried to freelance without coach input--the result?  Clausen, Armanti Edwards, Eric Norwood, Tony Pike. Lafell was OK.  The worst draft in team history.

I remember hearing back in 2011 or so that Marty was leaning Blaine Gabbert at one time.  Cannot confirm.

Yeah, going forward, that draft really cost the %&*# out of us.

#3217374 Deflate-Gate: Patriots Being Investigated For Deflated Footballs

Posted by PantherFanOne on 22 January 2015 - 06:09 PM

Each team provides it own footballs on offense so no, they wouldn't be using the same football. Juicy Tidbit: Tom Brady was one of the players who lobbied the league a few years ago to allow each team to provide their own balls for every game. The league changed the rules to accommodate the QBs request.

Hmmmmm!!!! Now wonder why he did that? Interesting. :)

#3217109 Carolina Panthers 2015 NFL Draft Roundup - Round 1

Posted by PantherFanOne on 22 January 2015 - 02:43 PM

My gut is starting to tell me we go DE in the first.

I saw that Dave Gettleman was sort of throwing the DE  hint out there earlier, which leads me to believe it's a smoke screen. Even if Gettleman can sign a halfway decent LT in free agency, there's no way he should pass on a decent OT in the first round, unless some really great  player unexpectly drops to down to us.

#3216490 No matter how hard I try, I just cant hate the Patriots.

Posted by PantherFanOne on 21 January 2015 - 09:28 PM

I am not crazy about the Patriots but i don't want a back to back Seahawks win and have to listen all year,to how great Russell Wilson and thier defense is,

#3216316 gettleman on newton contract

Posted by PantherFanOne on 21 January 2015 - 08:28 PM

I feel sure Gettleman already has a game plan pertaining to signing Cam to a contract, something he needs to get done  before Luck and Wilson break the bank with theirs.

People that seem to be in the know are saying, they expect Cam's proposed contract to be a 6 year $ 130 million deal with somewhere between a $ 25-$ 35 million signing bonus and $ 50-$ 55 million guaranted. If they are correct in their assumption, the 1st year cap hit would be $ 9.5 - $ 11 million, then $ 20 million the next year, increasing somewhat each additional remaining year.
