#1685962 Will Leave The Hurneywagon If We Don't Make An Effort To Improve The Team Thi...

 God you people are illiterate.

We are barely a few hours into free agency and you get pissy because we aren't signing big market players. Of course you say that's not what your asking for but then you site the Redskins RG III, Brandon Marshall, Mario Williams.

I'm sure the signing the all world Pierre Garcon is really going to make the Redskins a superbowl contender.

This team is in the best shape it has been in almost 10 years. Even with our questions marks. None of the players you mention progress our franchise or remotely set us up well in the future. This isn't a lock out off season for us, we are going to sign some people. There is no reason not to expect us to make moves.

#1678897 Report: Manning doesn't want to play for Skins

Posted by OneBadassCat on 08 March 2012 - 04:13 PM

One thing that Marshall Faulk said on NFLN yesterday that I hadn't ever really thought about and it actually shed a lot of light on Eli's situation when he was drafted...

Marshall said you can go ahead and rule out any and all NFC teams because Peyton doesn't want to do anything to deprive Eli of the opportunity to get to the Superbowl. He said they look at it like the Harbaughs... They don't want to do anything to impede the other from getting there... Now, once they get there, it's a great time for the family because someone is going to win it, and they're happy with that.

He said this was the main reason Eli refused to go to San Diego and asked them not to pick him. Not because he thought NY was any better of a football organizaiton or city, but because Archie didn't want them having to compete against each other in the same conference and possibly stop one another from reaching the Super Bowl.

If true that's pretty arrogant sh1t. But I guess that's why they are in the NFL.

#1671118 Be Thankful

It's times like these that we should be thankful that we have a class act in JR who knows how to run a clean program. I know he gets flack sometimes because he caters to the NFL logo but the man has done a nice job with the Panthers. Sure we had Carruth and the steroids in 03 but those weren't issues that infiltrated or were caused by the organization.

Look at the entire NFC South right now. We are easily in the best position and we aren't a corrupt and vile organization like the candyasses in NO. Atlanta will be our toughest competition with JJ and Roddy but even still Matt Ryan has peaked, they are about to hit a wall as a franchise.

The Buccaneers? Who cares

As for us? We've got a coach that won't take anything but the best from his team and unlike Fox this guy will build a strong defense and offense that is capable in all facets of the game. We were a few bullshit calls away from winning another 2-3 games. Keep in mind this was a team with a new coaching staff and hardly any off season. Our staff is going to get the potential out of this team that we have all talked about for so long.

We've got Cam, who if he keeps working can basically make our offense unstoppable. We're going to have a great TE core, Steve Smith is still one of the best and we have a returning group of WR's with a lot of potential. Defensively we're getting some star players back. We are going to get what we need in FA and the draft and we will be a great team next year.

#1649048 NFC South most improved players of 2011

Posted by OneBadassCat on 10 February 2012 - 03:57 PM

Personally I think it's a slap to Smitty's face to call him most improved. He was always that good, it's just that no one could get him the ball. Stats don't suddenly make him the best again, it's bullsh1t.

I thought LaFell was most improved.

I don't blame the kicker at all. They ran him out there with 10 secs left on the play clock. They could have called a timeout to give him more time. Lapse in coaching right there.

Charlotte is a cool city but it will take some work to make it more attractive but I think it will happen in due time. They need to get a light rail to run from downtown to UNCC. More buildings and clubs. It's time to get away from the NASCAR stuff, it is nothing but embarrassing for Charlotte. There is a whole arts/music scene waiting to burst in Charlotte. It would be cool if there were a few more areas like NODA around the city.

Gamble is 29 yrs old that is right in the middle of a CB's prime. He's got a long way to go and he has never been significanlty injured. Chill with the whole Gamble is declining stuff. He is fine.

#1610385 With all the talk about Cam "moping"

Posted by OneBadassCat on 11 January 2012 - 09:51 PM

KT enough is enough. If what you say is true then you are no better with the way you respond to TRD.

That said I remember TRD bashing Clausen thousands of times. Yeah he's probably bitter that Cam is a badass because now he can't prove a point. But that doesn't make him a racist and it doesn't mean he was wrong about Matt Moore.

I get tired of the way you guys sh1t talk Matt Moore. He is at least starter quality in this league. You put him on the Jets and they are probably in the playoffs right now. I see people post stupid garbage like, "Oh Moore couldn't beat out Clausen". Are you kidding me? If you were even remotely a fan you knew what was going on the with the team. The sell out coach buried his own team just to make the owner look bad.

Moore is a good QB who was unfairly treated like poo by the coaches and staff. That is fact, but would I trade him for Cam Newton? Hell no.

It all seems to be working out for the best now. We've got a franchise QB and Moore has somewhat solidified his right to play QB in the NFL. Miami is glad to have him.

#1539731 Armanti Edwards

Posted by OneBadassCat on 28 November 2011 - 07:11 PM

All of you preaching that AE needs to be cut are so full of it. If yesterday showed us anything it's that Armanti has had no room to run all season. If he gets a little bit of space he's automatically good for making a few guys miss. Blame the special teams, not Armanti. He is going to be a good returner, he's got the moves and nobody can deny that.

Pilares was garbage until 2 weeks ago give me a break.

#1532782 Is Dwill back to form?

Posted by OneBadassCat on 22 November 2011 - 09:44 PM

I don't think Deangelo was ever really out of form. It's just that our offense sucks at blocking and fans do sh1t job of evaluating players.

#1479957 Steve Smith Vs Jerry Rice

Posted by OneBadassCat on 23 October 2011 - 06:39 PM

Keep in mind that Welker has at least 15 more receptions than Smitty. That's the reason Welker is above everyone, he's got nearly 20+ receptions over everyone. Smitty's got the best ypc in the league at 22 if I'm not mistaken.
