Moyes is an idiot... he said he will play Mata out wide...  He's a CAM not a winger.  They have Kagawa and Rooney playing CAM...  Sounds like Mata was a panic buy.

Just like the Yankees ... they start losing - they start throwing that cash at all the wrong reasons! lol

There was an orgasm vodka that was popular with the ladies but has been pulled due to the high sodium content!  :D

#2609885 Proud of this team!

What a magical season this has been!!!

What a way to show that you have arrived this season!

To accomplish all that was accomplished this season, after some 'experts' picked this team to finish last in the NFC, is simply amazing...

This core is young... Newton, Kuechly, Lotulelei... A defense that will out-physical most teams... An offense that should inject some needed youth and talent this offseason... A front office and coaching staff that now seems to understand what it needs to do to win...

I'm proud of this team... I'm proud of this organization...

But what I'm happiest to be able to say right now... For the first time in years, I'm excited to be a Panther fan!!

Job well done, Panthers!!

I am too - proud of my Panthers for turning around from a 1-3 start to become NFC South Champs ... We are one step closer to the bigger prize and we will go forward and learn from this.

Hopefully the fair weather, bandwagon fans learn to become a real fan through this loss and continue to build our "real fan" fan base.

I will always bleed - Black & Blue!!

Keep Pounding!!!!

#2599798 World War II’s Strangest Battle: When Americans and Germans Fought Together

Posted by hmsmike on 10 January 2014 - 11:01 AM

My boss had an awesome reply to this topic, figured I would share:

To quote him....

Take a good look at this picture and notice what’s actually happening here. This is a water-color painting done by one of my Grandfathers medical officers who survived the battle. The area is between Kommerscheidt and Vossenack Germany in the Huertgen forest. The trail they’re walking on is called the Kall Trail. There is an aid station in the background where numerous wounded American soldiers were trapped behind enemy lines. In the foreground you can see American and German medics working on a seriously wounded American GI. In this general area there are still nearly 100 missing Americans that were never recovered and many, many more Germans.

Very close by there is a German minefield called Wilde Sau (wild pig) minefield. During the Huertgen battle an American G.I. was severely injured by a mine he stepped on. The man was begging for help as he was bleeding to death stuck in the middle of it. A German officer saw this and attempted to retrieve the wounded American himself (he could have ordered one of his men to do the task). While working his way through the minefield he tripped a mine and was killed. There is a monument on that ground to this German officer.

Thought that was an interesting reply to go with the story you posted Panthro. ;-)

It is but could you imagine if the NFL, Basketball, ect would do the same??? Working in NASCAR, I see what having this resource can do for you, but then again we are not supplying the arena (or track in our case) so we need to have that sponsorship to carry our cost. Because we don't really get the ticket and concessions sales.

But imagine having BOTH and lets add minimal overhead cost in soccer equipment needed .... HOLY COW!

I just recently got into soccer/futbol here recently ... love the passion of the fans!! I got FIFA 14 for the xbox and now I'm hooked.

Absolutely. While perhaps not the biggest club in the world, Liverpool is a global brand. We have huge followings in many countries. Getting back into European competition and all the money that comes with TV rights and more ticket sales will do wonders for the club financially. We are not in dire circumstances yet, but we have a ways to go to climb back out.

As a football fan, I recommend reading this: http://www.deloitte....league-2013.pdf

It breaks down the world's most valuable clubs and why they have either dropped or risen. LFC are at #9.

That is really an interesting article ... it was amazing seeing the shear revenue difference between Real Madrid and Man City! Holy cow!!!

I miss just being on the boards ... I ran into Mush and the wifey at an unfortunately loss of someone the other day and decided I would troll around and see what was shaking. I am just mind-blown of all of the same old members still on here!! Sorry I haven't been active, it has been crazy for me the last few years, I was volunteer Firefighter & EMT while still keeping up with my real job ... you know winning those championships! LOL and just lost touch of the old forum. But I am truly proud of this community for staying strong after all of these years! You guys Rock!!

and of course .... GO PANTHERS!  (and yes I am STILL rocking my #48 Davis Jersey because there will never be a more perfect jersey for me! HA!)
