Prior to this year, would anyone have believed Jerry Richardson would sign off on cutting Steve Smith?
I think Richardson trusts Gettleman way more in the area of football decisions than he did Hurney. The Smith release isn't the only evidence of that, but it's the biggest.
Mind you, there's also been some chatter that Richardson isn't that high on Rivera, but as far as I know it's unsubstantiated.
Nope, Gettleman just signed Rivera and the rest of his staff to an extension, not only would the Panthers have to pay out the rest of their contracts, but also pay another coach and his staff. Which will be very costly.
"The thing that I think is important here is you don't manage concussions by a calendar," Dr. Herring said. "Some guys may come back in a week. Some guys may come back in six weeks. These steps don't have an expiration date on them. The player's history of injury and other issues come into play."
Once a team doctor signs off on a player's return, the player is evaluated in person by an unaffiliated concussion expert physician approved by both the NFL and NFL Players Association. This unaffiliated expert also must sign off on the player's health before he is allowed to return to play.
Yeah! Because they're practically putting him out there with high school talent, amirite?!?! He's the only good football player on our whole team! I'm pissed off that we haven't signed Calvin Johnson and AJ Greene for him yet. I'm amazed he hasn't just up and quit already with these awful circumstances! We owe him everything just for continuing to suit up and play for us and anyone who says otherwise is an idiot! I'm not a Cam fanboy though. Don't know what that means.
Take a look at all the other young quarterbacks and I dare you to tell me Cam doesn't have the worst supporting cast. I'm getting tired of people who want better weapons for the Panthers franchise quarterback getting labeled a Cam "fanboy". Look at my join date, and tell me I'm a Cam fanboy.
