I trust Gettlemann to find the right guys.....sort of refreshing to have confidence that someone will get the job done.

#2574848 The play calls at the end of the game were NOT playoff caliber

I am usually more of a pessimist type concerning my teams in football but to get the Panthers into the playoffs with a first round bye with the offensive talent that we have now is one of the most unbelievably greatest coaching jobs I have ever witnessed in my many many years.   With Smith out....a patchwork offensive line....a receiving corps that struck fear into no one.....and Cam throwing 5 yards over everyone's head for the first 20 minutes of play we still WON.  Incredible job.   This isn't video game football.  Go back to your couches with your play stations and x boxes if you don't enjoy it.

#2574844 The Drive on WFNZ Just Got Even More Unlistenable

I have been moving to 730 am and Satellite radio anyway.  Until Miami starting losing I thought we were listening to a station in south Florida anyways with Marc James....and then we never hear about them.  Good for Taylor.  I've heard he is a good guy.  Following in Gary Williams and Mark Packer's footsteps on satellite radio.

I really hate the Cardinals won.

Smoking in public, talking on phones or texting while driving....not too good.

Maybe Steve needs to spend a little less time on WFNZ and more time working on catching balls.  I've seen more drops from him this year than in all the rest of his career combined.  Hate to see him age out.

This is why we don't sign Cam to a hundred million contract.

I'd start Derek next game.  The players don't want to play for Cam......and I'm getting in the Gettleman camp that he's not our franchise quarterback.  Trade him and get a little value for him while folks still fall some for the hype.

Team really enjoyed their bye week.  This team isn't worth the passion the fans put into them.

Our offense does run faster than Rivera's brain though.

Just wanted to say thank you for this site.   It's a wonderful place to follow the Panthers.  I was on a board years and years ago and had great times with some folks like Panthermom, etc.

#2368307 Help Wanted: Second Receiver

Posted by Lakelover on 10 September 2013 - 06:36 AM

Is it just me....I went to FanFest...watched most of the pre season snaps for Cam...and then the Seahawks game and Cam only looks for Smith and Olsen.    Is it me? (For right now I'm thinking this trait....to lock in on receivers....is what separates Cam from the truly elite talent in the league).

#2367808 Anyone else notice a couple of things in this current Skins vs Eagles game?

Posted by Lakelover on 09 September 2013 - 08:37 PM

I've been a Panther fan since day one....and based upon the way things have gone the last five years I'm betting I'll see Cam run Kelly's offense one day....in Philly.  About the time when Vick ages out Cam will be wanting out of here...especially with Smith gone....and an ownership group not willing to get some weapons around him.

#2363977 I'm worried about Rivera

I saw Delhomme (who had much much less talent) carry a team because he made others believe that there was no way they were going to lose.  Guys played above themselves in clutch situations.  I have never seen that same attitude from a Cam led team in games that mean something in the first half of season.  I hope he proves me wrong.  I don't think he will with Shula calling the shots.

His record when games mean something speaks for itself.    He wins when other teams have quit trying.   I have quit worrying about him.  Life's too short to worry about inept coaches and ownership.
