I get it, the Hornets were here and they were pretty good.
I'm pretty damn sick of hearing how "good" they were. They never got past the second round. N E V E R ! !
Think about that. That means the first year they made the playoffs and won in the first round would be the farthest they would ever get. INCLUDING the years in New Orleans.
Yes, they had a winning record for 10 straight years. But during that period so did 9 other teams. Every one of those 9 other teams made the NBA Finals. Not only did the Hornets not make the NBA Finals, they didn't even make the Conference Finals.
I feel like I have to remind everyone how mediocre they actually were in the playoffs which is what really counts.
I've been to so many Panthers games over the years, that I almost don't like watching them on TV. To me, there's nothing like being there, yelling and high-fiving everyone around me. I'd rather spend my money on going to the game then on TV. And I have a 60" widescreen HDTV.
It's more than just the game, its the whole day experience. For a 1pm game I leave the house at 7:30am and don't get home til 6pm. I've never tailgated at the house.
Plus with the tailgating, I never buy food in the stadium. I also don't spend a lot on beer since I'm pretty hydrated by the time I get in there.
