#3344941 Round 1 - Carolina Panthers Select Shaq Thompson

Too late. I guess your parents would say the same thing, though.

Please never procreate

As long as it's still the team with the most points that gets the W, having an offense that can put points on the board should be considered "helping the team win". Look at the college game right now. The NFL's trending in that direction, too.

We are building a team to win, not just make Cam look good

I wouldn't think of Perriman and Dorsett as "second tier WRs". Both of them were off the board by pick 29.

This is just a fact that many just don't comprehend. Defense puts you in the position to win championships. Look at the last couple Super Bowl champs. Unless you have an ungodly talent at QB like Brady and Rodgers who can make any receiver and oline look good, you need the super strong defense to win it all (see ravens, Seahawks, and giants).

I'm all for getting Cam help but not if that means picking a tier two receiver just because that's what the masses want.

#3197772 Describe a receiving corps that would best suit Cam

WRs that can catch passes that hit their hands would be a great start.

The title says it all.  I'm not interested in seeing a hypothetical depth chart of specific players.  You can reference some if you want but I'm interested in seeing what traits at WR would work the best given Cam's play at QB.

The obvious: A large physical balanced receiver >6'2, good hands, blocker, doesn't give up on plays

what's wrong with 3rd and 2? the OL is pathetic.

What's up with the OL????

Shula put the offense in that position anyway.

Play calling needs to be key. Shouldn't have ran Cam second down.

i also like how they're implying that Cam's play is the reason that Arizona's got back into the game. i guess they've been taking bathroom breaks when the STs come onto the field.

Mike Tirico's an ass (and this is not his first time concerning Cam and the Panthers).

He just said, Cam was inaccurate" last drive.

Excuse me. Wasn't there a penalty called against Dickson. And his own partner just said Benjamin dropped the ball.

So watch the damn game, and have a memory Tirico!!

#3083403 1st take destroys the Panthers FO, "Panthers Sold Cam Newton Out"

How is Cam supposed to make Byron Bell, Nate Chandler, and the undrafted Canadian better? none of the QBs that you mentioned have played behind anything close to as crappy of an OL as Cam's playing behind this year. And other than Brady, none of them have been throwing to the scrubs that DG likes to call his top 4-5 WRs. Let's not even get into the suck that is the Panthers D this year.

Let's just admit cam isnt a franchise QB. He's good but not capable of making those around him better like a Brees, manning, Brady, Rodgers. The whole team sucks, the coaches suck, the owner sucks, the fanbase sucks. I just don't see this getting fixed and cam still being here. Imo he's gone and this year is why

Let Cam walk.....and then watch what he can do with a decent OL and WRS. He deserves a helluva lot more support than he's gotten from Carolina's front office the last 4 years.

The guy is playing like garbage and I'm betting the Bengals wished they hadn't paid him big money. IMO it would have been a better decision for them to let him walk, have a bad year, and try to replace him in the offseason.

We will be in a similar situation and as much talent as I think Cam has...if we continue the way we are right now then I'll say the same thing about him.

#3046412 Does Cam deserve "the contract" based on this season?

Posted by whatever on 26 October 2014 - 05:04 PM

Cam looks asleep half of the game, lethargic, defeated, and his performance reflects that. Get real fanboys

you are a moron.

Anyone that tries to claim that Jake Delhomme is/was a better QB than Cam Newton is delusional and/or racist. Take your pick. And yeah, i realize that you're trying to bait me into getting banned. Good luck with that.

Say the person who called people racist.

I don't take advice from fools. sorry

Other than Castonzo, who is playing OL for Luck????

You better take my advice. ;)

#2983566 Dave Gettleman?

i was just saying that there are two LTs that were taken in the 7th round that are already starting and playing well for their teams. DG could've waited until as late as the 6th round and had either one of them. but the DG supporters loved to claim that there weren't any quality OTs outside of the 1st round in the previous draft.

I didn't say that, and never would say something that stupid. I wanted an LT early.

#2828167 Pretty high pick for a Guard

Posted by whatever on 23 June 2014 - 03:46 PM

That's insane. Look at who the Rams drafted with those picks. They raped the skins on the draft picks alone. What they did with those picks has been equally impressive.

Sure looks like the inept Rams blew what should have been a franchise changing trade with the Redskibs. But, they have parlayed multiple picks into hot garbage.

agreeing with anything that Florio says is always a bad idea. Greg Robinson will be a very good OL.

#2781278 The value of a top GM......this man knows his football

Posted by whatever on 11 May 2014 - 06:16 PM

He was so dominant that nobody drafted him.

you guys forget, Byron Bell was a dominate LT in college, he was switched to the right side here because Carolina had Jordan Gross.  Hes been playing out of position. Bell has always been the successor to Gross.
