What Cardinals Fans Are Saying

Recommended Posts

That's awful to hear, and truthfully embarrassing as a Cardinals fan. Sorry about your experience, hopefully everything is civil in Carolina. Especially for the odd Cardinal fan that makes his way to BoA stadium this weekend.

BOA is pretty welcoming by NFL standards.  In you have a bad experience as an opposing fan it generally would be b/c you went looking for trouble.  Some stadiums you really have to worry about home fans just looking to ruin your time.    Overall we seem to let people enjoy their hard earned purchase and enjoy the game.  A little jab hear or there for good fun is about the worst of it usually.

Without a doubt, that's why it's a bit disheartening to hear that a guy who was just looking to enjoy a chance to watch his team play was berated in such a way.

I too am a Cardinals fan, but I have crept this forum for years now because you guys have a great sense of humor and are probably the most similar to the forums I frequent in AZ. I don't know where this "Camthers" thing, but it's pretty stupid. I know that those of us who are die hard fans of the Cardinals and the NFL in general do not take the Panthers lightly in any sense. I think the key for us is keeping Carson upright. If we can do that it will be a game. If we can't, it won't.

It's all good, every fan base has its fair share of bad fans. I've told this story to people that were at the same game or have been to Cardinals game before and they were shocked and had polar opposite experiences.

I'm also a younger, more boisterous, passionate fan which can sometimes rub people the wrong way, especially when said people are drunk and we're playing in their house.

Still doesn't explain some of the things I experienced, but hey it is what it is.

As a guy who talks severe smack to opposing fans whenever I go to BoA, I would say actually being enemy territory is gonna open you up to a world of hurt everywhere. Maybe not "fear for your life" levels like in Oakland, San Fran, or Philly, but in the heat of the moment is going to be different than outside of game time.

Caveat: I'm also an asshole online, and a pretty terrible human being overall, so take that as you will.

What year was it that we had vinnie start for us in Arizona? Anyways, I was at that game and had to jump the row of "fans" who were in front of us because they felt it was the right thing to do to punch the kid (probably 18/19) beside me in the face because he was talking smack after dlo's long run. Straight up stadium brawl  lol

Dudes were double fisting beers all game and one had a skullet to die for!!

Yeah, not the classiest fans.

Funny though, they got kicked out. (After the brawl) lucky for me I had not drank the entire game because of the night before, so the police kindly escorted them out and the guy who owned the seats (box owner too) come and apologized.

(For the record I did tell the kid (who I didn't know) to slow his roll, but "Chunk"(my nickname for him because he looked like the kid from the goonies) kept talking smack the whole game. Well damn if the panthers didn't back up his smack. Lol  He was a huge panther fan. Lol.

damn old ass Vinnie!!

Welcome to the huddle! I hope no one is overlooking the panthers. At this point, no one should be overlooked especially a 16-1 team. Good luck Sunday. Go Panthers.

What a bunch of whiners!  How could you actually want a division rival to beat the team that your guys could not?  That's inviting them to prove they're the class of your division.

If the Panthers got smoked in a wild card or divisional game, I for dang sure would not be happy about Atlanta or the Aints marching out to show our guys how it's done.  I prefer keeping them in the basement of the division.

    • I mean we did suck last year.  23rd is probably right.  We didn't show anything until Rivera took over playcalling.
    • No what’s actually ignorant is the fact nobody on here actually seems to understand what Sharia is. That goes for all the leftist as well as the rightwing trumpers. This is what everybody actually thinks sharia law is, that they have twisted up...  “Some people falsely equate Sharia with criminal or huddud laws, which are centuries-old specific punishments for major crimes such as killing, adultery, or theft. Huddud laws are only a tiny part of Sharia and can only be applied by an Islamic state; it is questionable if any of the nations claiming to be “Islamic states” actually fit that description morally or structurally, so these laws are generally not applicable in a modern context, let alone in the U.S. Unfortunately, the misapplication of these laws by the Taliban or other contemporary groups or governments generally contradict both the letter and spirit of Sharia and have given it a bad name.” I found it incredibly amusing that everyone was so quick to jump on a bandwagon, when all I did was point out most of the fine print of that meme is actually true and nothing to worry about. As well as which parts were obviously dumb and false. But when people can’t see past the big print. Not much help for them.
