Rivera Monday presser

What do you see on tape that makes you want to squib it? That’s a seriously question. Usually you’re just trying to catch the opponent off guard and maybe get a guy to mishandle and fumble. Rivera was just so weird that game. Don’t go for it on 4th and inches with a guy who has converted all but two 4th and 1s his entire career but then decide to squib kick to start the second half? Just really weird decisions from Rivera.

no explanation other than Ron is a pretty crappy head coach

Anywhere beyond our own 20 and it is fourth and less than a yard, I support a decision to let cam sneak it.

Weather, scheme and situation, tweaked shoulders, fortunes of football....

I missed the context, but can somehow please explain to me what the hell "inclement weather" had to do with us losing yesterday?

I mean, jeez...

They had to practice in a ballroom because we have no indoor facility. Practicing installations in an event space rather than on a practice field could create some issues. He never said it was weather at the game.

LOL! You guys get so bent out of shape that an NFL coach doesn't apologize to you every week for not winning the game and making you sad about the Panthers. Plenty of coaches make mea culpas on the podium and continue to suck. Dirk Koetter can take the blame(and he should) all he wants, as vocally as he wants, they're still going to suck.

Hilarious.

Rivera doesn’t make excuses and continues to such, so there is that

The squib kick was not planned, it was shanked by the kicker.

It didn’t seem like it

I have been a big Rivera supporter, but I was pissed about not going for it on 4th and inches at midfield at the start of the game.  We have the best short yardage QB in history and you punt.

Set the tone for the whole game... and it was embarrassing.  It's certainly not why we lost, but it was gutless.

Agreed. I like Rivera, I do, but he makes sooooo many questionable decisions. The best running qb in history and we punt...baffling.

don't forget the coordinator turnover.

Damn  Ron.  Translation:  "I dont have a domed practice field, our coaches are more focused on schemes than putting the best players on the field, we got some boo boos and lady luck don't like us like she did last week.

This was pathetic.  The players were confused and they did not seem focused.  You do not need a dome to keep them  from jumping offsides.

This team being too scared to practice in the rain or the heat and then looking soft, lazy, and undisciplined is just so exactly what you think it is

I kinda was.

The players looked totally deflated after that play.  Momentum was gone, no one looked ready to play.

I get that it wasn't about yesterday's weather.

I still think it's an excuse, and a flimsy one at that.
