the hell is he talking about?

It's Peter King.  He consistently has the worst Cam takes this side of Jim Folsom.

Cam after the Pittsburgh game had an MVP type performance in Detroit? Then after the Detroit game had another great game vs. Seattle? Uhm?

Did we win or lose? We lost both of those games because he couldn't stretch the field. Norv Turner's system often results in inflated yardage and completion percentage. However, he didn't complete a pass traveling more than 30 yards beyond the line of scrimmage all season. It certainly wasn't because of a lack of speed. Watching the Saints game in Week 15 should've given you a hint for what was actually wrong with him. He didn't practice from the Pitt game on and it resulted in streaky play and culminated in a 7-9 season. The defense fell apart because of 3 coordinator's in 3 seasons and by the time Rivera took over it was too late.

Cam should've been practicing and if he couldn't practice, he shouldn't have played. Everyone knew that Turner's offense relied upon efficiency, the ability to go vertical, and timing. You can't argue that the injury didn't hamper him because there are published marks by Rivera stating as much.

Spent draft capital.

Two firsts, a second and a fourth in two consecutive drafts, thats what I got out of that, but being King, he probably assumed it was even more.

How the fug can you say we lost the Detroit game because Cam couldn't go downfield when he threw for 357 yards ... and how can you say we lost the Seattle game because of Cam's shoulder when we had 1 TD in 5 Red Zone trips to that point?

We're signing Hakeem Nicks.

I'd buy that before I'd believe we're getting Antonio Brown.

Still riding this strange theory guy? Cam didnt complete a pass over 30 yards in the air ALL SEASON LONG. That is unheard of in modern day football. 25% of those yards were from one play where DJ Moore broke some tackles and went 80 something YAC.

It is almost like you are reverse just saying Cam sucks or something weird because even the worst QBs in the league can occasionally complete a long pass. This is so strange to see a huge Cam fan deny his injury, it seems like you should be using it as a reason he threw 4 ints in the TB game.

As for the future, the Steelers have time to let the situation cool off. The start of the 2019 league year is nine weeks away (March 13). I’d let this thing simmer down. In mid-February, Mike Tomlin could quietly meet Brown in some private place in Florida and they could have the face-to-face they’re going to need to have if this relationship can be salvaged. It’s worth salvaging; Brown, 30, is a dominant and affordable player, at $38.9 million over the next three years. But if he won’t agree to Tomlin’s way, all the way, Brown should be traded.

Who would trade for him? I’ll give you possibilities: Oakland (with four first-round picks in the next two drafts and a coach who won’t fear the distraction), Carolina (though the Panthershave spent profusely on Cam Newton weapons, here’s one that could make the Panthers two or three wins better);

how does peter king still have a job?

If Tomlin can't do anything with him what makes you think Rivera could handle him?

Because Tomlin ignores everything and sets no discipline. Didn't Rivera bench Cam for a dress coat violation. Seem Rivera is much more of a locker room presence than Tomlin and keep guys from going after each other.

AB is not going to a place with a questionable QB situation.

so, him coming to the Panthers is a possibility based on your logic

If they take on some of his salary so we can make the money work I’d throw them a 3rd and a 5th in a heartbeat

Id rather use that ungodly amount of money it would take to pay him, to pay to upgrade our Dline and Oline
