So it is a little early but right now it's looking like our pick will be between 11 and 15 unless something crazy happens. Where do you see our needs and who do you like in this draft.

We are going to really need a PF and I like PJ Washington from Kentucky. He is a 2 year player which mean he is a bit more polished and should be able to come in and make an immediate impact. He has a really long wingspan and has been improving as a 3 point shooter. I think he would pair very nicely with Miles.

It looks like Batum is now our SG again and I don't know what the plan for Monk is anymore (I don't see any chance of us being able to re-sign Lamb and I don't think we should) but if we go with a shooting guard I really like Kevin Porter Jr and of course Coby White.

That is why i mentioned he is a 2 year player. Staying an extra year in school would have done wonders for MKG and Monk.

I’m thinking the same for little and white

little is a long, long way from being an nba player

white can shoot and get his own shot, but would get eaten up on def and his floor game isn’t as polished as it needs to be

I have a feeling they both may return to school to make a run at a title next year.

Coby White- same size as Jeremey Lamb NOW (so probably will fill out more)

Can play PG to let Kemba rest

But can play SG, with his PG skills, probably one of the better handles, and passing for 2Guards

Can shoot

Create his own shot

And defend

Plus should be around our pick

Monk with a less accurate jumper.....

He’s a lot better than monk....watch his step back jumper...and he can handle the ball

but he needs another yr in college

Romeo Langford maybe?  He has good size for a shooting guard.

You questioned Coby White's jumper but then brought up Langford who shoots 26% from behind the college three point line...

tankathon has this for the hornets

I like it for the front court.

Hornets could go in a direction with resigning Kemba and offseason trades of youngsters.
If they are going as hard for experienced help in Kemba prime.
They could trade the rookie contracts of players and draft picks.
If they want to keep Lamb they need to make the room in the cap space.
As Lambs replacement, I wouldn't mind seeing Bacon play 24+ mins a year.
It seems JB will use Kemba and Batum handling the ball.

Anyway, it's difficult to comment on the Hornets as it's messy situation.
Regarding the draft picks.

I'm afraid of Hornets drafting guards, most draft picks haven't worked out period.
Next draft im liking
6'6'' Culver
6'6'' Keldon
6'5'' Nickeil (would have been cool to have kept Shai and draft his relative also, anyways I like Miles)

The other guards may work out but If I have to go safe I like those 3.
Maybe there are other options if trading up or down.

The forwards 9 (I prefer to pick forwards and keep Kemba handling it)
6'9'' Sekou
6'9'' KZ
6'7'' DeAndre
(I'm worried with Gonzaga picks but maybe either Rui or Clarke both 6'8'')
(Also worried with Kentucky picks but maybe PJ 6'8'')

The bigs (Maybe good value after the forwards, defensive, length, athlete, pressure on/around the rim)
6'11'' Jaxson
7'2'' Bol
there are more in the back end if we trade down etc.

Interesting to see comments what the community thinks.
I'll be watching the draft

    • It's a classic example of what so many on the neckbeard right like to accuse others of: virtue signaling.  Legislators probably knew that there is no epidemic of dangerous creeps putting on wigs and going into the women's room to commit sex crimes under the guise of being transgender.  But when your nutjob constituents aka your meal ticket are all riled up about something you better throw them a bone.  It's funny to me now that they've basically given up the ghost and are going "yeah yeah HB2 was dumb but the Democrats... ".  That's the most you're going to get out of a Republican though so I'll take it.
    • So many on here think of me as a republican. Weve shared numerous debates. I dont hate Trump etc.  That said I support the protest. I detest police brutality. I never was a blue lives matter dude. Quite the opposite, though that doesnt mean I want good cops harmed. I want to see the law enforcement complex in the country overturned and be given sweeping changes. Always have. Police brutality has disproportionately affected blacks to a serious degree and is also a concern for every American as we have seen examples that their brutality has affected people of all races. Blacks def are on the receiving end of the worst treatment when you breakdown the numbers based on population ratio. Either way police brutality can effect latinos and white people as well. Based on personal experience.  They have a tendency to leave rich white people alone which is disgusting. Living in Charleston, I've seen a place that is brimming with systemic racism and police profiling.  When speaking to my black friends we mutually agree that we should ride in seperate cars because of how the police will profile us and tail us if we drive around together. I'm ashamed to admit that. Its motivated out of avoiding interactions with police. Before the Covid lay off? the job I had for 5 and a half years failed to hire a black salesperson that whole time. I've worked in restaurants here where blacks were only hired as dishwashers. Its sickening. Recently a friend of mine in Columbia who is part of a ministry and makes his money in the crypto market had his home raided because his neighbors complained that he had people in and and out of his house and owned pitbulls. They cuffed  this innocent man who is large and shoved him into the back of a Camaro and made him go through the whole process just to free him. Little did they know he was running a ministry and teaching financial classes to his friends. The man hasnt even smoked weed in his life and played college football for WCU. So I'm not here to debate how their shouldnt be looting or any of that. In fact,  I think we have such an entrenched political system namely because of no term limits and lifetime mandates for judges that the only way you can make change is by scaring the government that they may lose control. Only then will rapid change occur maybe. What this has shown me is that there are two factions that exist within the republican party.  The Lincoln Republicans who value liberty and equality, and the Dixiecrats. Nothing is worse when you have a modern day racist hide behind Lincolns name. Joe Biden shouldnt be given a pass either. The 94 crime bill that he helped champion has directly led to a lot of the issues weve seen today. My hope is that these protest dont take a sharp partisan turn one way or the other. My hope is that protest focus on the entirety of the government and point out negative and hypocritical policies on either side. Black Lives matter. When black lives matter to the government everyone's life will improve.
    • I honestly don't think McCrory actually cared that much.  He never struck me as one of the culture warrior types.  Problem is we have one of the most batshit crazy state legislatures in the country and he'd be guaranteeing himself a primary challenge and probably a loss in the general if he vetoed it.
