Trump Admin does believe in research/science!!!

Announced today a $64 million dollar initiative to fund research and the development of...…..coal.    Because yeah, we need to be more coal based.

also today, Antarctica hit 65 degrees.  Warmest ever recorded.

but yeah, keep telling me about how you just can't vote unless your preferred Democrat gets the nomination.  Since you won't be busy on election day maybe we can have you stand at a park and let every child in your county line up and kick you between the legs.   Ones in your family should get a free pass for the rest of your time on the planet.

I’m not in disagreement about global warming being a HUGE problem but...that temperature was taken at Esperanza base which is at the end of a long strip of land that expands northwards towards Argentina. If that temp was like right in the middle of Antarctic which you basically are implying we’d all be fuged right now.

you fear monger a lot to try to prove your points which is frankly annoying and like I said before intellectually dishonest.

The coal museum in Kentucky runs on solar power.  I just thought I’d leave that little nugget. LOL

pretty sure that temperature recording is a big fuging deal.  Which is why I noted it.   And I knew where it was recorded because I  read about it.   Same as with the water temperatures recently recorded running under the most dangerous glacier there as well.

Pointing out the stuff we are seeing there isn't fear mongering.  Nor do I buy it is intellectually dishonest because I didn't link the article stating exactly where in Antarctica it was.  It is very problematic getting that temperature at that location.  It is important.  Too important given some of the bullshit arguments tossed around here about why folks might just sit this next election out.

Was it a lazy and quick post? Sure. You wanted more info? Well, sure, I could of posted a link to an article.  Probably should of.  I've quit providing links to stuff to a large degree.

do I fear monger and talk over the top? Sure. It is an internet message board.

It’s fear mongering when you try to guilt trip people into voting for any democratic candidate instead of the only reasonable one they agree with because “Antarctica hit 65 today” and Trump signs coal legislation.

we are already fuged global warming wise. That is a fact. We can try to contain it but the people who need/needed help the most when the effects of global warming hit are the ones establishment democrats and republicans don’t give a fug about; poor people, people of color.

Maybe you should vote for Bernie Sanders in the primary because Pete Butt and Biden do not give a fug about you or anyone else with corp money in their pockets.

I don't think we are fugged yet.  Which again, is why I ain't got no time for all these mofos who run their mouths all day....and then are like but I probably won't vote.   But we aren't fugged yet.   We could be very soon.   I mean I guess that depends on your definition  of fugged but...

I'll vote for Bernie in the national.  I got no interest in voting for a socialist in 2020 vs Trump.  Bad math if you ask me.  Just look at Iowa...even the left leaned toward moderates.

Bernie isn't a savior.  None of them are.

it’s already started. It’s already destroyed lives and killed people. That is what “we are fuged” means. Just because you haven’t felt the effects of it doesn’t mean anything. Like I said we can contain it. Help the most vulnerable people. And set this country on the right direction. Bernie is that step in the right direction. He isn’t the savior. We are the saviors. The people. We have to put the right politicians in place that know who and what they are fighting for. Us.

and are you only voting if Bernie is the nominee?

I got kids.  We could fug this place up bad enough they feel the effects or their kids do.   Trump’s pathway vs any other Dem winning likely alters what is to come

I agree on the WE.  I’m not endorsing the but Bernie didn’t get it so fug it all approach

What I’m saying is we already feel the effects of it. They just don’t effect you or your family right now the way they do others. And those people’s kids, and their kids kids will still feel it too. Biden and Pete don’t change those effects in any meaningful way to change those people’s lives. They have sold themselves. I do not trust them.

and no I’m more than likely not voting for anyone other than Bernie.  But I think that will be a mute point.

many of the effects of climate change are already irreversible, its more about limiting the additional damage. half measures from the other democratic options are no better than the status quo. only truly revolutionary change will be enough.

Might be mute, might not.

You ever address if you had children? I assume you don’t.

Safe bet google, Nan, etc don’t either.

We both understand we are seeing the effects now.

The real issue is we that can still alter what the effects are that see.  We can influence the timeline.  What we see, the severity, when aspects occur, etc.  Especially if the number one power in the world isn’t a fossil fuel pimp that denies the most basic facts and realities.

I mean there was a point in time when were all fugged because of the ozone layer....you know what the world did? Fixed it.

This whole nothing in life matters but Bernie is some selfish spoiled bullshit.   A lot matters more than Bernie.  We got a mess.  One WE all helped create.  We shouldn’t be afforded to luxury of doing nothing and not caring....simply because Bernie isn’t the nom.  Lesser evils matters in life.

well a lot of people smarter than us (and all the candidates) that actually study the poo and who we would actually lean to alter things....have made it clear that better than the status quo does matter.

I have step kids and four nieces and nephews. I would never bring kids of my own into this world at this point. It is selfish to do so if you can avoid it.

you also don’t seem to understand that Pete and Biden do not give a fug. They have been bought by fossil fuel industries. Our only option is to vote for Bernie who is leading the pack. So do your part and vote for Bernie in the primary.

And please do not call me selfish and spoiled. You do not know me. You do not know what I’ve been through, what my family and friends, the people I grew up, the people ive worked with have been through that shaped me to this point. The only reason you’re this mad is because this stuff is beginning to affect you and your family. It’s been affecting others for decades upon decades.

I’d like to see a breakdown of the plan, it could be CCUS(64 million is a drop in the bucket for power plant owners).

I mean Bill Gates through microsoft did just give 1 billion to CCUS. Yep, Billion with a B. The only viable means to curb emissions and climate change is CCUS. No matter what dopes like fryfan claim about it.

But probably it was just trump trying to look like he was doing something to get coal country votes in reality.
