Still is winning does not hide the fact that our offense would be better if Bryce was not our QB.
-
I don't know what you are talking about. All I am comparing are 2024 numbers to 2025 numbers straight from the sheet. Every stat, every game. I am not being selective. You posted a select group of stats from 2024 vs 2025. I posted the full stats from 2024 vs 2025. Personally I could care less about 2023 at this point. Kirk Cousins had a fanatastic year in 2023 but would you want him today - no you wouldn't. Rating a QB today based upon his performance from almost three years ago is foolish.
-
Ya'll are making some wild theories up.
-
I don't think anyone is forcing Canales to say anything.
-
I want nothing to do with "Rudolph". Cousins I could see but he's ancient. Is prefer someone like Sam Howell. Maybe Will Levis but his skill set doesn't fit our current scheme as well as Howell's would.
-
If gives you view of the mean as it stands now. Unless he improves on a consistent basis that average will stay the same of course. More games will move the scale one way or the other. My concern is how many more bad game does it take to get to the center of this tootsie pop. Sorry, I got lost there.
-
See above...
-
Inconsistent? Yeah, that's my biggest problem with him. I would say though let the "highs" have gotten "higher" (especially lately) More importantly though... We're winning, and against very good opponents rather than bottom feeders. That can't be argued, and it's a big deal.

If you tell another QB you're being brought in but Bryce is the starter no matter what, Dave is being forced. Hypothetically, we trade for Howell and in camp he looks like prime Tom Brady. He's riding the pines because Bryce is the starter and that's just the way it's gonna be. Dave's checking out. Why? Because that's not what's best for him or his team. If Dave is the one doing the forcing, then that is a symptom of an even bigger problem which is what many of us have been saying, no one knows what the hell Bryce is as a QB. You only lock in your QB when you have to evaluate him at all costs. If we still need to evaluate in year 4, then the QB competition needs to be wide open. -
Yeah, I don't want anything to do with that Lawrence contract. Woof.

He still has another year before the 5th year. Bring in a steady vet. Let Andy go. Draft one in 3rd round like Kirk Cousins or Rudolph Wilson was. Hope they hit if Bryce sucks. If that doesn’t work. Draft one in 2 years in the first round. Move on from Bryce. Let the vet or 3rd rounder you got start the year and bring in the 1st round qb when ready. Thats your succession plan if Bryce sucks. Worst thing is game manage it for next year and still draft the next one in 1st round the following year. -
Nothing lol. Sorry I stepped away and responded to the wrong post.

All the Bryce stans have always said we should forget 2023 existed as it's unfair to look at it. Now you want it just for the sake of showing the jump from practice squad worthy to backup worthy? ok. noted. the reason you compare the starts (12 vs 12) and omit the 2 token garbage time appearances in 2024, those skew the per game averages. For example, from a per game scenario, it would be logging him as playing a NFL game with -4 pass yards in a game and treating that as a game. which is why you look at starts (12 vs 12 games) 2024 - 195 pass yards per game, 20 rush yards per game, 21 TDs, 11 turnovers 2025 - 194 pass yards per game, 10 rush yards per game, 19 TDs, 13 turnovers which clearly isn't "pretty much improved" in basically any of the primary categories of production. It's worse in all the big ones. Yards, scores, and turnovers. if you want to make a Bryce is better in 2025 argument than last year. Cool. It's not in his individual production stats that matter though.

How are you going to do a mock workout the final draft rankings? I would like to see the top 250 players listed myself and see who might be around at our picks. Thats a lot of fun for me even though I never get them right. I struggle to find an accurate top 100 much less 250. I won't pay for the online stuff because im too cheap.
-
I think he quoted the wrong person. You weren't talking about Trevor Lawrence in that post.
-
Just because I shoot an 80 on the golf course one day doesn't mean that's what I'm capable of on a regular basis. That's just the day everything came together perfectly. That's an outlier. 250 YAC is most definitely an outlier. The best way to evaluate is to remove his best outlier and his worst and evaluate everything that remains. That gives a more accurate picture of the season as a whole.
-
I don't think he's being forced.
-
What are you talking about?
-
And yet his numbers are better than Lawrences' and you stated you would trade for Lawrence and his 50M contract. Why?

Then I would expect Dave Canales to take the path of Frank. You cannot force a coach to be tied to a QB no matter the results. Frank checked out because of this. Dave will too. -
50% of the time.
-
They can tell them whatever they want but it better be the best qb plays.
-
Heh Side Note: Why the hell is it called "Preparation H" anyway? It's supposed to be a medication, not what you use to get something ready. And given where it's used, I'd really like for the manufacturers to explain to me precisely what they want to "prepare" that part of me for?
