  1. I don't think Sherman is like that. Stanford educated, seems like a really bright guy. I'd be shocked if he were a deadbeat dad.
  2. He played a good bit at WR for a rookie, especially the first half of the season (targeted 20 times)
  3. Know this.... What a pregnant woman says and what will happen are two totally different things. She only says she wants him to play because she is testing his resolve to be there. She doesn't actually want him to miss the birth because of a football game.
  4. And for those of you that laugh at the notion of Corey being the next Steve Smith.... Corey had twice the receptions and yards that Smith in his rookie year despite having less playing time. Corey could be better than Steve. Or, he could be a role player. No one knows. Just another reason why I am excited about 2015.
  5. Richard Sherman's girlfriend is due to have their first child at any moment. http://nypost.com/2015/01/30/shermans-pregnant-fiancee-he-might-leave-super-bowl-at-buzzer/ Well, what would you do? I would gain respect for him if he did leave. You can't miss the birth of a child if you can at all prevent it.
  6. I don't see why he can't be a solid slot guy. He isn't tiny, almost 6 foot tall. I'm not worried about his durability. He gained muscle as the season went on. We need guys like Corey on offense. Guys that can produce when called upon and require an average contract to do so. We have a good number of high contracts to pass out soon, guys like Corey help make that possible.
  7. I feel like we should call him Corey. He has said multiple times he doesn't like the name Philly.
  8. I'd like to be the guy that tells Greg Olsen the the Panthers just signed a stud LT so they won't be asking him to chip a DE on every play.
  9. If it were the Panthers you would be loving every second of it.
  10. I guess I can only say what I have seen over the years, and I have never seen the ball boys carry bags of footballs anywhere near a bathroom. And its not a typical stadium bathroom you guys are used to. Its a door with a lock and one toilet. I was in that very same bathroom in August. Absolutely 0 reason why anyone would take those balls in there unless it was something that he didn't want anyone to see. (lock on door, no cameras).
  11. Very easy to have some balls set aside for Pats only. Pats ball boys would need to be in on it.
  12. Right. Would not be wise to throw him in at LT in the pros right away. Even Jordan Gross played a season at RT.
  13. Jake Fisher OT - Senior - Oregon 6'6 - 300lbs This season I hope the Panthers get serious about drafting offensive linemen from legit college programs who have played real competition. Forget measurables, look at production and attitude. I really like what I see in Jake Fisher. He appears to have a bit of that mean streak I love in lineman, often finishing off blocks with authority even when away from the play. Gets to the next level very nicely. Was a TE his freshman year so he has the athletic ability. Was injured early in the Ducks season, and it had a negative effect on the team. Mariotta was sacked 12 times while he was out. The whole Oregon offense showed a marked improvement when he came back. That speaks volumes to me. The Panthers are a Remmers injury away from being awful again. The thought of Chandler playing RT again is something I just cannot stand to see. I'd like to see the Panthers select Fisher and groom him for the starting RT spot eventually. Right now Jake Fisher looks to be a 3rd - 4th round selection for someone. Plus, he certainly sounds like a NFL lineman.... Click here to view the article
  14. Maybe he could take over flea flicker duties from Cotchery....
  15. Over the next several weeks I will be profiling NFL draft prospects I feel would be a good fit for the Panthers. Up first... Tyler Lockett School: Kansas State Size: 5'11 - 175lbs Position: WR/KR/PR Round Projection: 3 - 5 Tyler Lockett is as close as it comes to being a no brainer for the Panthers if he is available in the mid rounds. Locket is a speedy slot receiver and an accomplished kick and punt returner. In 2014, he averaged 20.1 yards per kick return and 19.1 yards per punt return. Has the speed to stretch the field over the top. Very quick feet. If you saw him play against WVU last year, he absolutely put on a clinic. He posted 321 all purpose yards against the Mountaineers between returning and receiving. Flashes like that go a long way in showing your NFL ability. Reminds me a bit of a kid I wanted the Panthers to draft out of Kentucky a few years back... Click here to view the article
