If some team wants to offer a 1st round pick for DJ then ok. Otherwise it would take a bundle of picks similar to CMC. All our non-rookie contract defensive players can be traded for a good deal imo. The 2023 draft will allow us to take QB, WR, RB, and finish rebuilding our o-line. 2024 I would want a DE who is better than YGM, and a TE better than Ian.

I just took a look to find out why the Panthers might be turning their nose up at two 1sts from the Rams for Burns. Turns out the Rams don't even have a 2023 1st round pick.

Baker is pretty much ready to play. To IR him would get us in hot water to put it mildly.

For 2 1sts I'll pay for his plane ticket out of here myself. We're rebuilding and he's replaceable. Done deal. Any team can have any defensive player we have for 2 1sts imo.

Fitt comes off as spineless in light of this new information. Talk about getting dominated and pushed around.

Time will tell with PJ, but in the past PJ has looked terrible mostly. The odds are sky high that PJ will have a bad season overall. We have a great opportunity to continue to evaluate PJ, Sam, and Baker this season before we part ways. I wouldn't mind seeing Sam again before his ship sails permanently. The knock on Sam is that he doesn't see the field, but I like the idea of one more shot for Sam. Then again keep a shot leash on him in case he reverts to trash as is likely to happen.

The thing that sealed Rhule's fate to be fired was his backwards blueprint for building the team. He spent and entire draft on only defense, and should have built the o-line first. Then he brought in mediocre QBs and at that point it was only a matter of time before he was fired. Yes he did try to build the o-line but it was too late. Wrong order of priorities. Now that the o-line has been built an had time to gel we can properly evaluate our QBs. You don't know what you have at QB until the o-line can pass block. First to be evaluated, Baker. Fail. Looked like moron out there. Up next PJ. Passing so far. If he poops the bed moving forward then Sam will be behind this nice o-line next.

I'm here year round so no hate from me. I'll enjoy the wins, but the cost is going to be brutal imo.

If PJ plays well we could beat: Falcons x2 Bucs Broncos Saints Steelers That's not a crazy prediction if PJ plays like he did against the Bucs.

Looking at the rest of our schedule the Panthers could win 7 games and the NFCS. That would be the nightmare scenario. Even if things don't go well, we could still win 5 games imo.

We've had too many high draft picks to tank properly even after unloading CMC.

So we add him to the Great Wall of Lina. (Not my naming of the line.)

Hamstring injury.

I thought our roster would get us about 5 wins this season. I might have been wrong. The Falcons, Saints, and Bucs are starting to look like trash. We have too much talent on our roster to lose to trash teams assuming the right playcalling is being made. MacD is calling better run plays, and he has been calling good pass plays all along. If PJ can play decent we could be looking at 7 wins, and that might put us too far down the draft for a QB. That would be worst case scenario.

Couple of things going on. Pat has been weak in run blocking and and now Bozeman has improved things. Another thing is that MacD has removed the run plays where Ian has to block. Another factor is that Icky seems to now know when we are running, as in the past he would sometimes start to pass block on run plays. Things are improving in the run game. Also, the Bucs were rolling over for some reason. They didn't appear to be giving 100%, were some of them playing injured?

The scary thing is that we might actually win the division. The would be short term fun for loooooooong term pain.

If we bring in another unaccomplished FA QB some other team doesn't want, then I'm not watching that season. None of it.

I'm probably going to start watching the 4th quarters of SF games to pull against them. I want all those draft picks they traded us to be higher.
