  1. I don't expect Reddick to return. Tepper didn't give anything away at his press conference, but the way I took it he's not coming back.
  2. 99% chance we are freeing up money to upgrade the o-line. 1% chance we're going to trade for Watson.
  3. Yeah nothing shocking about the restructuring. CMC will be next.
  4. Imo the teams that would be interested in CMC would also be picking near the bottom of the 1st round, and I think we can get a late 1st for CMC. It's good for CMC to be on a SB ready team, and it's good for us to get younger and clear out cap space as we're not going anywhere next season. I expect other veteran players to be traded as well, and we should have more restructuring on the way. A CMC restructure seems likely. Loading up on draft picks and trading down is just what the doctor ordered as we wait to select a QB in 2023.
  5. Hopefully this is the last season with Rhule and company.
  6. the notion that all of Anderson's drops are Darnold's fault is ridiculously stupid. "the notion that all of Anderson's drops are Darnold's fault is ridiculously stupid." That is not something anyone has said in this thread. You alone said the above, and then attacked it. Do you know what a strawman argument is?
  7. Thank goodness Gettleman went to the Giants and blew that 1st round pick on Jones. So happy he's one.
  8. Robby is a good WR who looked like poop with Sam. He dominated with Teddy. You know Robby is a good WR. Jerry Rice would look like poop with Sam. Robby can certainly be traded as we're not doing anything in the next two seasons unless we land Watson.
  9. When we have a good team we're disrespected. When we have a bad team we're described in 4 letter words by outsiders. Not saying he's wrong, this is a poop show, but I wonder if he'd say that about the Giants?
  10. Well I think we'll have a CMC restructure coming soon, so that will help. We've never had a good GM. Fitt brought Sam, Hurney brought cap hell, we just need to finally land a great GM.
  11. We have Tre Boston dead money????
  12. Yeah and expect more players to be restructured to free up more cap space. It won't just be Moton. Trading Moton, or any veteran player on this team is fine by me. If we don't land Watson, then we won't have a competitive team until 2024 at the earliest assuming we land a good QB in the 2023 draft.
  13. We have no QB. We're dead in the water. We have no engine to run our offense. If Watson is not coming here, then all of our non-rookie contract players should on the trading block. The question is only that the team must make a fair offer. The reason is because we're not going to compete in 2022, nor 2023 even if we draft a QB. That means you clear out the non-rookie contract players and get younger imo.
  14. I'm sure we'll get a few calls for Sam as well. Might even get a 7th round pick for him.
  15. 1.) The Panthers are picky about drafting a QB. Won't draft one in this weak QB draft. 2.) The o-line is a top priority. O-lineman at 6th likely. 3.) The Panthers won't take a trade down offer that doesn't include equal points. No reason to offer equal points at 6th in this draft. No trade down.
  16. If Rhule thought Sam looked like a good QB, then he might think Jimmy is the second coming Joe Montana.
  17. We could do Jimmy G and let Pickett sit, but I can't help bu think Jimmy could do better than being a one year rental. I think he can get more. But let's say we do that, and Pickett doesn't pan out as our franchise QB, then we're looking at several more bad seasons. I think I'd rather let Sam start next season, go o-line in the draft, and then let the chips fall where they may. If Sam poops the bed, then we'll have a high draft pick in 2023 where there will be much better QB prospects than Pickett. We'll also have a better o-line for our rookie QB, and Sam will be off the books as well.
  18. Rhule already said that he didn't want Slater at 8 because there was speculation if he might be best at guard. He didn't want a guard at that high of a pick. This doesn't match with Daniel's report, which means to me that the Panthers are pulling a little trickery with the media.
  19. Fred Lane was murdered by his evil wife. Did you not know that? Why are you listing him?
  20. Some of you may be wondering why I have said that Watson coming here is extremely unlikely. The reason is because of the rumor mill reports that we met the Texans asking price, and then the Texans talked to Watson and his agent and Watson refused to come here. Watson must have invoked his no trade clause to avoid this dumpster fire. This occurred back in November. A newer report has surfaced that Watson is now willing to come here. Although I believe this report, I think Watson is being pressured by his agent and the Texans to say that. The Texans want more teams in the mix bidding for Watson, and if dumpster fire teams like the Panthers, that were already rejected by Watson, don't bother bidding then that hurts the Texans and Watson. That's why I've said that it is extremely unlikely that Watson comes here assuming that the November reports are true, and the recent reports are bullplop.
  21. Yes making good free agent moves is a good thing, but I can't drum up the energy to care. Just thinking about QB atm.
  22. Jimmy G's life insurance policy would be revoked if he came here.
  23. Non-QB Free agent moves are sort of like rearranging chairs on the Titanic. We're dead in the water until we find a top quality QB.
