I would like to keep Evero. Considering his defense was forced to play 75% of the season I think he's a good DC. Keeping him for one more season could benefit us going into 2025. If we retain him and he gets a HC gig in 2025 we get compensated with a 3rd round pick. in 2025 draft capital should be a top priority.

I think Belichick molded Brady but later in Brady's career I think he carried Bill more than Bill carried him.

Which tree do we pull from? John Lynch, Brandon Beane? I would think we would try to get someone from a tree that has been success for many years. We thought we had the right guy when we pulled Fitterer from Seattle.

I hate losing and I hate watching this team play so poorly. I was at the Jacksonville game and I have never seen a team so out of sync. So many 3 and outs. i literally was embarrassed to leave the Stadium. The 2023 Panthers IMO was worse than the 2010 version. As many of you know tanking has never been in my vocabulary but 2024 should be treated like Richardson did in 2010. He let people walk. Paid no one any real money and we left the helm to Jimmy C. Though it was an abysmal year it landed us Cam Newton and 8 years of decent football. I think we let Burns walk and get the 3rd round compensation for him. Brown should be a core player along with Luvu on the defensive side. Horn, I have no idea what to do with him. He's been more of a bench rider than a star and probably need to cut ties with him. Maybe trade him for whatever we can get. Build capital for 2025. Offensively we need everything starting with a good head coach and offensive coordinator. I think we have some pieces that we can hold onto but we seriously need to look for weapons to help our midget QB. Give Young 2024 to prove he's a franchise *cough gag choke* QB. Sadly, I predict he won't be any better. At 5'8" it only takes a solid bump and he's sacked. Regardless of his pocket awareness. He doesn't have nor will he ever, have the strength to escape. As John Fox used to say. "It is what it is". Sign Free Agents to one-year deals and gain as much cap space as possible for 2025. I wish I could say this franchise needs just a couple of players, but the truth is we need a total rebuild. We have very little draft capital to build with. We're not going to be anywhere near a good team in 2024 so we should focus on 2025. I suspect that our 2024 performance will be no better than 2023 and we'll be in the top 3 for draft order.

Well, the first thing the FIRM needs to do is tell Tepper to get out of the cookie jar and let the professionals do what they do best. You can bring in the best GM and the best coach to ever walk the face of the earth but if Tepper doesn't stay out of how this team is built it's not going to matter. He comes from a Pittsburgh organization and should take note on how Art Rooney II lets football people do football things. If he can't do that. For the love of God. SELL THE DAMN TEAM.

When was the last time we had a new GM and a new Coach going into a season. As much as I can remember we haven't had a new GM / Coach come in at the same time.

It really depends on who the new head coach is going to be. I think this offensive scheme does not fit our O-line at all. Get Young to get used to being under center instead of pistol or shotgun and run the ball. From what I read our best performance in the run game was he was under center. If we have a different scheme it may put our O-line back to the 2022 season. We could than focus on a well disciplined WR.

He needs to focus on his soccer team and let someone buy the Panthers.

And to think I was all on board for Horn over Parsons. I pray we don't pick up his option just to sit on the bench for 75% or more of the season.

As long as Tepper keeps Veto control over any player no coach is going to want to come here. The HC and GM have to be in total control of the roster. If Tepper is involved, they'll stay away.

I think Young can still be the QB we want him to be and am not implying that we draft a QB in 2024. HOWEVER, the other day I saw a list of QBs for the 2024 draft. Surprisingly, there were a lot of interesting prospects. We know the Williams, Maye, Penix and Nix will be long gone by pick 33. Would you consider taking one of these other QBs with the 1st pick in the 2nd round? Or would you just to prefer to ride Young until the 2025 draft class. 2024 is probably a wash for us anyhow. We'll most likely have a top 5 pick in 2025 which could be used for just about any other position besides QB that we are in need of. Sadly, his offensive line is worse than ours.

How about we throw the ball a little further down the field. It's pretty hard to beat anyone when their entire defense is within 10 yards of the scrimmage line. Complete or not. At least the defense has to respect the possibility of a deep pass.

I don't want anyone from the current offensive staff. Evero is playing with a lot of 2nd string players and the defense is hanging in there. Ben Johnson (+500) Jim Harbaugh (+700) Ejiro Evero (+700) Bill Belichick (12/1) Johnson is possibly the best pick of the group. Harbaugh could bring a toughness back to the Carolinas. It would be interesting to see what Belicheat could do with Young. The only issue I have with Evero is that he may have the same culture which is something that needs to change.

Four things IMO must happen. 1. It is going to have to be a big fat paycheck. 2. He'll have to have his own GM. 3. A clause that prevents firing for a minimum of two years possibly three years. 4. Owner has no Veto power over any picks or Free Agents

I haven't seen anyone say he coached a team. I know he comes from a family where his father is a highly respected coach. If you have ever listened to Olsen you'll know he is very intelligent and understands detail. His obvious success would be hitched to his coordinators but as a head coach I have no doubt that he would win the locker room and be successful.

It's not going to happen. PERIOD What needs to happen is MR. Hegde Fund needs to get out of football operations and let the professionals handle it.

Greg is a very intelligent guy. His dad is a coach so he has some basics about the job. He's a former player that can and will get respect from the players. If I were Greg, my deciding factor would be that Tepper stays in the Owner's booth and him and the GM (whoever it may be) have complete control over the roster. I could see him really doing well.

As it should be. How many owners that have their hands in football operations are any good. The Cowgirls made out when they traded H. Walker. They got a bunch of nice picks, and they turned them into a small dynasty but after that the Cowboys have barely a playoff Win. And Jones has a ton to do with it.

Agreed. He needs to let the professionals evaluate and select these players. He can sit in the War Room and keep his big mouth shut. Ask questions later. As long as he's meddling, we are going to continue to suck. Looks like we inherited Detroit/Jacksonville's curse.

While I believe that we need to continue to evaluate the QB position our entire offensive scheme is just terrible. From play calling, to blocking schemes, to WRs that can't get separation and if they do they drop it. Young should take the blame for some of it, but Reich's offense is absolutely terrible. It's hard to tell whether Young would thrive in a real offense or he is just insanely overrated. It would suck if we traded him, and he did well under a good creative offensive mind. I would also add the locker room is gone. It almost feels like no one is fighting for each other. Though we were pretty bad last year at least Wilks had the locker room and the players were giving 100% and actually won a couple of game. I just don't see that type of effort with this team.

We have speed in Chark, We have catch radius in Mingo and TMJ, WE have all the traits a QB could desire on this team but most are missing one quality. Running Routes. Give me a fast WR with great hands and knows how to run and route and get open. I would be 100% on the bus with him before we grab a track star that knows Three routes, Post, Flag and Fly. If you can't run a route without rounding it out or drifting than what good will he be in the NFL if he can fly. We've had our run of those WRs.
