I am sure he took the job when the caveat to coach up Young his first season. To fire him after what we saw today would be insane. The scheme is there. Young is just not capable of playing in the NFL.

Horn trying to stay healthy enough to get a big contract somewhere far away from this trash franchise -
And to make matters worse, Bryce made the wrong adjustments to counter the blitz. That makes it tough to support him.

My guy he inherited a 2-15 team with a 5’9 weak armed bust at QB.

There’s literally nothing we can garner from Canales this season. He had no input in the QB he has. If Tepper fires him after forcing Bryce Young on him, we honestly should boycott the team and burn the stadium down before he gets to spend all that taxpayer money on it.

Dave Canales is a young and relatively inexperienced coach. He was saddled with a clear bust at QB. The scheme actually looked decent today with opportunities to make plays that the QB simply missed. Even basic blitz pickups were incorrectly changed by the QB resulting in sacks. Canales needs to be given at least 2-3 seasons to be able to pick his own QB room to run his offense. This season is a learning year for him. Let’s hope he can get the right QB.

Even when he does see a receiver, he doesn’t have the arm talent to hit them. Many missed open receivers today.

There’s nothing to support. They’re doing it whether the fans support it or not.

The problem with the TEAM is Bryce. The problem with the organization is David Tepper.

Is Bryce the worst Panthers QB of all time?
hepcat replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
Based on what they traded to get him, 100% absolutely no one else is even close. -
This has to be a joke.
-
Developmental? He flat out cannot play in the NFL

Is this sarcasm?? Hahahahaha

Way too soon to judge Canales on anything. The only reason I think he sucks is because Tepper hired him and anyone Tepper hires turns to putrid sh*t.
-
I’ll say this again, you’d be amazed what a difference a competent QB would make. The team does NOT believe in Bryce and I don’t think even Bryce believes in Bryce at this point.
-
They need to see what they have in Canales. Talk about putting a guy in a losing situation, Bryce can’t play. Let Canales have at least a second season with his choice of QBs.
-
It will be interesting to see how the team handles Bryce this year. There’s really no doubt, Bryce can’t play in the NFL. It’s reaching insane levels waiting for him to show literally anything NFL caliber. He should be out of the league in 2 seasons and perhaps he goes into coaching. He’s obviously a nice guy and could hang around the NFL in some capacity but it’s obvious it shouldn’t be on the field in a uniform.
-
The Saints have stopped playing man coverage and blitzing Bryce, and then miraculously Bryce starts completing passes. Bench him.
-
I’m fine with sticking with Canales for 3 seasons once he gets a chance to pick the QB. He’s young and for that reason alone I’m fine with giving him time to figure it out. But Bryce is not it.
-
We have to take another worst team in the NFL season on the chin. Maybe Canales shows he’s the guy for the future once he’s rid of Bryce who obviously can’t play in the NFL. With that #1 overall pick, you can take the top QB prospect, and bench him for a season. There’s hope if they finally build the team the right way. No trading future resources, no forcing the issue, just keep searching for a franchise QB in the draft until we get one and then build the rest of the roster along side with later draft picks.

I disagree because Bryce shouldn’t have been drafted #1 overall. I thought it was insane he was even being considered the top prospect due to his size. He was a statistical outlier by literally every metric.
