Same vibe I got. The Matt Rhule cult is freaking bizarre. He seems to have collected a bunch of misfit coaches and players over the course of his career and they're all infatuated with him. He has some sort of voodoo magic speaking ability that obviously worked on Tepper and Marty Hurney too. The rest of the NFL sees him as an amateurish joke.

Thompson is clearly one of the biggest Matt Rhule fanboys on the planet, having played for Rhule at Temple and now Rhule gifting him a 53 man roster spot he might not have gotten on any other team (sorry bro being real with you). He stuck up for Rhule many times in the thread. And of course he would, I don't blame him.

Judging from Fitt's Comments, Reddick isn't coming back.
hepcat replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
Reddick's on Twitter saying he didn't struggle against the run. I went back and watched a few highlights against teams that ran all over the defense. Just on my quick glances, Brian Burns is f*cking TERRIBLE against the run. But that's just my dumbass assessment. I saw his ass on the ground more than any other player on the defense. Washington specifically ran towards Brian Burns/Marquis Haynes's side. Cowboys just demolished the entire Panthers D-Line Patriots schemed the defense into hell Bucs bodied up every Panthers player and put them on the ground It's just a tiny defense that can't win 1 on 1 matchups -

From what Fitterer also said, McAdoo apparently likes Thomas and has a plan for him. Who knows. I'll stash him on my fantasy football roster bench for sh*ts -
If they signed him to that big of a contract because he's a good locker room guy this team is actively trying to lose.

Yea forreal wtf was that contract extension about? Tommy Tremble doesn't suck at blocking. -

Give me your late round I hope we draft this guy sleeper pick

fair point -
he wins both tho

Trubisky has more potential than any of the rookies. Spent a year with a winning franchise re-tooling his game. If he goes into the right situation (Colts maybe?) I bet he lights it up.

I honestly don't wish for any player come to the Carolina Panthers. What a death sentence for a career. It's only the right fit for a player with little expectation of being good or winning games. -
does matt rhule count

I'm sure you'll be fine. I know it hurts right now but it's usually a very good time to take some self-care time and reflect on your life and career. I know lots of people who have gotten laid off and ended up getting better paid jobs in healthier situations.

lucky y'all, in TX it's an at-will employment state and there's no laws requiring employers to pay out accrued PTO

Jeremiah: Panthers "dead set" on drafting an offensive lineman
hepcat replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Matt Rhule is always a day late and a dollar short so he'll probably draft a LB or something dumb -
damn sorry man - welp your job is now finding a job. Get that resume together and start throwing out those applications. What industry you in?

Austin FC is accepting new fans if you don’t want to root for a team owned by David Tepper

What would y'all think of hiring Ken Dorsey as HC next year?
hepcat replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
He has NFL more experience than Matt Rhule had. -
I know it's very very early to be thinking about the next head coach, but I think we all can sense that Matt Rhule is on borrowed time with the Panthers right now. Out of all the up-and-coming candidates out there, Ken Dorsey is one of the more exciting ones to me. Dorsey has developed Cam Newton and Josh Allen with great success. Although Dorsey wasn't officially Newton's QB coach until 2013, Dorsey worked at IMG Academy where Cam was training before the 2011 NFL draft and was a Pro Scout for the Panthers from 2011-2012. Dorsey's work with Josh Allen is well noted. Allen went from a physically talented but very raw prospect out of Wyoming to quite possibly the second best QB in the NFL behind Patrick Mahomes. Let's say the Panthers play this next season smart (I know, what a concept), trade down in the 1st round and get some extra picks, and draft Malik Willis. Willis is a similar prospect to Josh Allen. Physically talented but very raw and in need of solid coaching to become an NFL QB. Cam was further ahead than Allen when he came into the NFL, but Dorsey still coached Cam during his best and most productive seasons. Rhule gets fired after a poor season, but Willis shows flashes of ability near the end of the season. In comes Dorsey, with experience in developing a similar style of QB, and the kind of NFL coach who has put in his time and could be ready to make a move up to head coach. Maybe be brings in a former head coach as Defensive Coordinator (Steve Wilks maybe??) But here I am talking about rational, intelligent moves a smart organization would make. The Panthers are probably about to trade 3 first round picks for Kirk Cousins.

Much better?

Someone hire a private investigator to unearth some of Tepper’s secret misgivings so we can get him to sell the team

for a 6th round pick many of which never play a snap in the NFL, Daley was good value
