from what I remember, and that's not much at this point in the evening, is that the Bengals can't afford him. They are paying Burrow and their #1 receiver, and would love to have him back but they can't pay all 3 that kind of money. His problems have been injuries and you hate to pay big money to a guy like that, but he will probably be available. As someone mentioned, the Pats need a WR and have the space. Still, fun to think about our O with him, Bryce developing, a damn good OL and the rest of the WR corps supporting, and a much better defense with the draft.

went to bed early last night and was swamped today. When I finally saw the score I couldn't believe it. Loved reading their board. They know it now. No young talent, and the old guys are done. And the cap situation.....lol. I'm gonna enjoy the Saints suck a lot. Hope it lasts through at least one more bum coach and a bad choice at QB.

He's a playmaker. I don't watch college games for the possible draftees much, but I tuned into a game that he was playing. The announcers called his name so much they were laughing about it. Think he has a serious med issue, maybe a heart problem, that he has overcome but is something that teams might think about

DT is one of the best positions in this draft, maybe the best. Problem is I'd rather get edge in the first if it's the right person, but I'll take Graham in a heartbeat. He is a disrupter. And our second round pick has fallen back a great deal since it was once flirting with a top 10. But there is a ton of talent that will go in the first at DT. After Graham, Ken Grant out of Michigan. 339 pounds with quick hands and feet Deone Walker, Kentucky. very athletic at 345 lbs Shemar Stuart Texas AM, 6'6 290 Walter Nolen Ole Miss 305 Derrick Harmon Oregon 310 Omar Norman-Lott Tennessee 315 TJ Sanders Scar 290 better rusher than run defender it's too early in the draft process to really say, but they could all be gone before our second pick.

Games to Watch this Sunday (Monitoring Draft Position)
Captain Morgan replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
Giants will want a QB, so I'm good with them being above us. Same with Raiders. NE is worrisome because they have their QB. Hopefully they go OL or WR for him. I want our choice of edge in the top 5. -
College Football Playoff prospect watch

looking more like less of a project as the season goes on. When a playoff team has to change their offense because one guy is seen is a problem, that's a pretty good sign that he's that dude. -

Bryce Young OVER 14.5 rushing yards (-125) While Young's success as a passer is all the rage recently, the Carolina Panthers QB has quietly been running the ball more willingly -- and successfully -- and has been over this number in each of his past four contests. Now he gets a Dallas Cowboys team giving up 24.4 rushing yards per game to opposing quarterbacks, second only to the Cincinnati Bengals for the worst number in football (and by 0.1 yards at that). By yards per rush surrendered (5.7), they're fourth worst. Some of those numbers are inflated because of the quarterbacks the Cowboys have faced this season, a list that includes Jalen Hurts, Lamar Jackson, Justin Fields and Jayden Daniels. But Drew Lock, Deshaun Watson, C.J. Stroud and Brock Purdy all cleared this number against Dallas as well, and those are quarterbacks closer to the Young mold -- decently mobile, though not considered elite dual threats. There's some concern that the Panthers won't need to drop back much against the Cowboys and their dreadful rush defense, but I do think Dallas is playing better against the run as of late. And the Panthers defense is so poor that it's unlikely this game becomes a blowout. (Imagine that! A Panthers blowout!) There should be enough opportunities for Young that he gets the two or three scampers he needs to clear this number.

after the short into, first item is this Props that Pop: Don't be shocked by a big day for Panthers vs. Cowboys QB Props: Bryce Young OVER 19.5 completed passes (Even) Loza: Young is by no means an efficient passer, but his completion percentage has improved since being reinstalled as the team's starter in Week 8. The second-year signal-caller has additionally managed at least 19 completions for three straight games since the Carolina Panthers' Week 11 bye. In fact, he recorded exactly 19 completions while facing a stout Philadelphia Eagles defense that has allowed the fifth-lowest completion percentage thus far in 2024. Young's odds of improving on that total are high, given this week's matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas' secondary got Trevon Diggs back last Monday, but the defense simultaneously lost emerging star linebacker DeMarvion Overshown. The compromised pass rush figures to work in Young's favor. https://www.espn.com/espn/betting/story/_/id/42898520/2024-nfl-season-betting-odds-daniel-dopp-liz-loza-football-props-pop-week-15

first, can a mod remove the 23 from this section of the forum? Just leave it as a draft forum without the year on it. 4. Carolina Panthers: Dl Mason Graham or EDGE Abdul Carter For most of 2024, it appeared the Panthers would utilize this selection on another first-round quarterback. But given Bryce Young‘s recent resurgence (ninth-best PFF passing grade since Week 10), Carolina may be better suited to upgrade a defense that ranks 31st in EPA per play. With Derrick Brown missing most of the season due to an injury, the Panthers' interior defensive line has largely been a non-factor. Starters A’Shawn Robinson and LaBryan Ray have both generated PFF overall grades below 55.0, including pass-rushing grades below 57.0. Getting Brown back will immediately help, but pairing him with a two-way disruptor like Mason Graham would be ferocious. Edge rusher is another focal area of need, especially given that Jadeveon Clowney (team-leading 30 pressures) is almost 32 and has only one year left on his contract. D.J. Wonnum (14.8% pass-rush win rate) has been a bright spot, but he’s played only 212 snaps — all of which have come over the past four weeks. Abdul Carter is elite in pretty much every department, boasting 77.0-plus PFF grades in pass rushing, run defense and coverage. His 90.3 PFF overall grade ranks sixth among all edge rushers in college football. https://www.pff.com/news/draft-early-or-2025-nfl-mock-draft they had T-Mac as an option much later in the first. This article does a good job matching team needs vs BPA. Of course, if you're drafting in the top 10, pretty much every position is an area of need.
