Inside the Carolina Panthers' three seasons of quarterback failure
Captain Morgan replied to Vox's topic in Carolina Panthers
although I didn't want to be dragged through our last few years, Fowler gives a great article about a maelstrom of misery for Panthers fans. The good news is, it's over. But once again, we have to find a quarterback. We all know it ain't easy....if we end up with the first pick of QBs next year and he busts, I'm ok with it...back to the drawing board until we hit on one. Wish we could get this kind of insight from our beat reporter for ESPN. -
fortuitous. Hope Mays can be a good back up.

More trade predictions from LaCanfora

Erving could bring us a 5th....and we just picked up a OT from the Dolphins practice squad -
He knows Keep Pounding. I wanted us to draft this guy when he came out, his college tape is ridiculous . Looks like he got in a couple of bad situations, but last year and this year he has proven who he is ...he walked off saying keep pounding, because he knows what it means. D is on a one year contract. Maybe he gets an offer to be lead back for a good paycheck, and I hope he gets that. But if he wants to stay here, I hope we sign him...anyone who believes Keep Pounding is a guy I want on my team.

Raiders just got a TD, Chiefs driving up by 5. However, since the Raiders have Carr under contract for years ahead, it's almost certain they won't be taking a QB this year. But every game the 49ers lost gets us a higher pick in rounds 2 through 4.

Raiders up 17 to 13 in the 3rd...hopefully they'll hang on.
-
wow....ok big Boze, earn another contract
-
no. and this is a sticking point...if his agent tells us he doesn't want to be part of hte rebuild, unknown coach coming in, and he'd be reluctant to sign with us....we'd have to think about it seriously
-
He is not facing any gun charges. Didn't break any laws, believe it or not. Dude needs an intervention though, if not for substance abuse, then for his disregard for others while driving.

NFL: Pats relationship with Mac Jones "gone sideways"

I love Darnell, and he's moving up draft boards. The kid over at Notre Dame is the concensus best TE on their boards, with grades in the teens (where Greg was drafted). They say he is hall of fame material, been called baby Gronk since high school. I run the draft mock machine at fanspeak about 30 times a day while working, and when I can get the ND kid (Mike Mayer) I've been taking him with the first pick of the second, turning down good offers for trade backs. Darnell is always available on those big boards, and it would not be unheard of if both TEs went in the first before our 2nd pick. Teams in the late 20s in the draft would see valuable versatile pass catcher still there at that point will take him.

Ickey learning this fast at pass blocking is amazing....we knew he'd be an instant impact on rush blocking, but I was thinking it would take the whole first year to turn into the whole package...kudos to him...and Campen. Elf is under contract one more year...would love draft a center with the first pick of the third....but we don't have it. If there is no impact pass rusher at pick 33, I wouldn't mind trading back a few picks to get a third and take a center there...he can learn under Elf for a year, get in our strength program, and hopefully be a long term answer at C. Pur young line will be cheap and good to elite for a few years. Throw money at Ickey in year 6, get a long term RT, and draft guards. OL done for years, QB happy for years.

btw, Over The Cap has already updated and next year we are back in the black as far as capspace. 538k, which is not much, but we'll have some rollover from this year, currently around 10 mill. More cuts, trades and restructures will come....and in the following year, currently we have 123 mill.
