  1. Nah, that's not the standard. I've watched plenty enough football to know that for sure.
  2. Asking about your current QB room is anything but fluff. We don't know what they think of draft prospects, much less whether we can actually maneuver to get a prospect. We also don't know if we'll be able to land a QB in FA that would be worth it. Y'all need to stop acting like asking about our QB room or any QB that might be available is "fluff." It's not.
  3. He might not be ready ever. Let's not forget that.
  4. Reich is established and all that. Sure! But until he wins the big one, I don't see him as having that much more success than lots of coaches who have never won it, Ron Rivera and John Fox included. Once he actually gets to and wins a Super Bowl as the HC, then I'll give him some props for being "successful," but he at least has to get to one. I mean he's 41-35. Whoopdy frickin doo! I hope that he's way better than during his next five years (assuming he makes it that long).
  5. Looking at the last couple of pressers, I'd like to give Tepper the Grumpy Old Owner Award. He just has an undercurrent of always being pissed off at the Panthers presser.
  6. You haters can say what you want, but pertaining to QB, he could have easily been talking about Lamar Jackson...
  7. He didn't sidestep it, he just forgot to answer it because he was too busy waxing on about the first part.
  8. Yeah. It may matter what's stuffed inside the suitcase, but to me it's more important how you use what you've packed, because everyone's packing something similar.
  9. He did intimate that a running QB who can pass from the pocket is preferable. Running is preferable to passing, but you need to have those chunk plays down field. It's standard fare that makes sense. He hedged on whether he'll call plays. It will likely depend upon the OC. I don't think we'll get any big names out there, and "bye-bye McAdoo," it seems.
  10. The only thing that we really learned is that Fitterer will indeed have roster control. The rest was the usual blah blah blah.
  11. I wish that he had actually answered the question about QBs.
  12. I'd say that keeping Tabor and Campen is evidence that collaboration in building the staff actually works...
  13. They have the more complete team, and it's probably the best in the NFL this season. They have a better running game, probably better receivers, a better O-line, a better D-line, and likely the best cornerback duo in football. I really don't see why you can't see a path to them winning. I can see it clearly.
  14. The play was supposed to be stopped when the ref ran onto the field waving his hands. You're referring to the errors that led up to that. That's not what I was referring to. poo happens in NFL games. The refs aren't perfect. Regardless of the errors that led to the play, if you're suggesting that they should have compounded the error by allowing a play that was officially stopped, I do not agree. You replay the down and let the chips fall where they may. That's the only credible way to do it.
  15. Personally, I am of the opinion that the building of staff should be a collaborative effort. I don't trust Reich enough to make those kinds of decisions. I'm not in love with his Gus Bradley affinity at all, and I don't blame Tepper for wanting to give Manuel a shot. I would hope that Fitterer is giving valuable input as well.
  16. Perhaps. All I can tell you is that I saw Chiefs players bring held on lots of plays also.
  17. Honestly, he probably doesn't need to call plays. Once Indy began failing this past season, they scapegoated OC Marcus Brady when Reich was actually the play caller.
  18. I just think some of you are Mahomes haters. That, and/or Burrow lovers. Joe Montana is the original Joe Cool. There is no other. Burrow will get other opportunities. Didn't you hear him? The window will be open his entire career. And for the conspiracy theorists, Mahomes will lose in the Super Bowl. The Eagles are the most complete team in football.
  19. We see "bad calls" or "no-calls" in the NFL every week. Those games didn't get any special treatment. Goof grief!
  20. Good. Don't want. He doesn't get cute at times; some of the play calling is downright ugly. On FB, I've had to listen to my wife's cousin cry and whine about Moore's calling all season. Even though he's a Cowboy fan, he had valid points all season long.
