  1. Sending out all my hope and positive vibes that he's the exception we so desperately need. No injuries there!
  2. A french-vanilla coated page of plays. He's so minimalist that he rejects the concept of a book.
  3. Certainly worried. Hope if he continues to struggle we can find a capable replacement somehow.
  4. Sad if that's how a 2nd round pick turns out, but at least we'd get some kind of use from him.
  5. I try not to remember that era or the Jimmy Clausen abortion. Since defensive tackles are my favorite position, I'm kind of biased towards at least competency and it's nice to have a couple bookends. I sure the hell don't miss Forever Useless Atrocity by any means! I'd like to suggest playing around with the formatting of this post so it reads a little easier.
  6. I've been wanting a couple backups in later rounds, along with someone to groom to take over for Kalil, but agreed. No reason it has to be higher round guys when likely it's not going to be a possibility. That, and the last time we drafted for need at DT before Star and Kawann we got McClain and Fua. Do you guys really want to relive that?
  7. I'm hoping he gets moved up to assistant OC or whatever it is that's the next echelon of positions before eventually "replacing" Shula.
  8. Even if it's reduced, the stain is still on NE's "good" name...too many instances and complaints.
  9. The hysteria over that was such horseshit because I remember the Pats doing that very maneuver to Gonzalez earlier in the season.
  10. Gotta ask....how in the world did you come across the Panthers all the way in Belgium?
  11. I'll be following this thread with interest.
  12. That was a damned satisfying game for sure. Too damn bad we ran out of steam in GB.
  13. that or the Bears game in I believe 2008 where Urlacher or someone like that hurt Jake and it pissed Jake and Hoover off and the whole team responded.
  14. They, Dallas, Pittsburgh, and New Orleans are so damn quick to throw fits about the officials...but never seem to understand they get far more calls than we do. Ergo, they can rot of crotch aids and mono.
  15. I took it as a karmic victory--after the incredible failure that was Jimmy Clausen, having tons of yardage in a debut game could arguably feel like a victory after the atrocities of the Todd Collins/Clausen Bears game or that horrible moment when he had negative thirty something yards going into the 4th quarter of a Saints game that year. That said, this really was meant to be more of an actual victory thread.
  16. I actually remember reading that bet. Wondered what happened there, but that goes to show you how reliable the intranets are.
  17. Very good answer--is it just Patriots hate that leads you to that choice, or? (if so, I get it. making Brady pout is always a joy.)
