the “ball placement specialist” thing with Stroud really seems like branding that people have really lapped down Young was fitting the ball into much tighter windows at Bama than Stroud was at OSU (and the advanced metrics that have been shared here back this up) my real concern there is if Bryce has the arm strength to drive into those windows at the nfl…but with nfl windows being much larger than they used to be I think hes got a pretty high floor.

we’re talking about quarterbacks, the system should fit the player not the other way around

Not enough CB talk. Second biggest need on the roster. Great class. Probably should be the favorite for 39 unless a really great skill player falls.

I’m not really scared of injuries with Young. I’m scared that a lot of the things we see as GOOD when watching him play are being interpreted as a really weird positive slant and that he’ll get in camp and we’ll be like “how did we get sucked into this” what if his “crazy off platform throws” aren’t “crazy off platform throws,” what if it’s it’s just bad footwork go watch a lowlight video of him and all of that stuff is still there, except it’s directly leading to the obvious consequence of an erratic pass. i really like Young but I am kind of leaning Stroud atm

But they are getting drafted which is extremely, extremely difficult. i get what he saying, Stroud obviously played with 5 of the best receivers in the country the past two seasons, but Bryce is still throwing to nfl players.

The more concepts I see the more convinced I become they should just leave it be frankly they should undo some of the tweaks they’ve made the past few offseasons. The pants they have now are trash.

Offense is more valuable than defense, if that guy is there that’s the direction they should go. but a bunch of project slot guys doesn’t necessarily quantify as “that guy is there” for me. Even then id still think real hard about taking one and just taking as many swings as possible at the position. My only thought is that one of these guys like kelee ringo or cam smith who were considered top 12 picks when the season ended may be available, and with the need at CB, and with the value of the position, I’d definitely think about it.

honestly thinking real hard about a CB in the 2nd, value is better and is a huge position of need. I never wanna see cj henderson again. if one of the hard coded 1st round receivers is there (totally plausible) then I’d do that.

Zèke is worth exploring. In a deflated RB market id definitely make a call. Still a very strong pass pro back as well as good out of the backfield. Those are great traits for supporting a rookie QB.
