  1. The history you speak is chock full of Hurney driving home the importance of BPA, whether in pre draft pressers or as a defense for not taking the players he was "supposed" to take afterwards, and every sheep on this board taking it as a parchment of sacred knowledge still persists to this day " but but Hurney=bad and Gettlemagic=good so there's no way he could've actually been doing that because BPA never fails!
  2. Here's where the typical revisionist history comes into play as the apologists assemble to arms
  3. 'Going BPA' is an anachronism from the Hurney era that people on this board still perceieve to be a shard of ancient knowledge passed down through our ancestors long ago to us as a sliver of hidden wisdom that the rest of the league has never heard of
  4. I don't know if I view TE as a full on 'luxury' The team has to evolve from what it was offensively last season and it has to make sure we've got an elite TE for the future I still think we also absolutely have to walk away from this offseason with some legitimate new impact players on defense as well, but i wouldn't consider a TE to be absolutely frivolous.
  5. I'd say this is probably the guy most of us will agree is the desired target in the 1st. The combine will be pretty big in terms of us knowing if we can pencil him in as the guy in April or if we think he'll be selected too soon.
  6. How is Roman so definitively out? The guy supposedly just had a scratch below the eye. Sometimes man.
  7. There was a horrible no call on a flagrant hold on that drive. Cost us.
  8. And a ticket to the game for that matter
  9. Isn't that the same thread where the OP called our OL 'very average' or something to that effect?
  10. Oh man this has me pumped. I don't really have much of a great story, but I've been a fan since just prior to the '03 seaeon and have never been to a playoff game. I'm desperate to go to one and have been knocking on every ticket prize door in the Carolinas to try and win. WBT is no doubt sick of me. Also, I sincerely sincerely want to be a part of the first Keep Pounding playoff chant at BOA stadium. I've been dreaming about that.
  11. Its the first series. I don't think you'll find Minnesota abandoning the run game quite yet. Because that would be dumb.
  12. People will coo and caw because of the end result and his reputation, but unless you've played the game I don't think you quite understand how fast things happen in those situations. Again, I think his reputation which he has earned played a part.
  13. Burfict did lead with his shoulder on that hit. I guess it's up to viewer discretion whether intent should play a part. I don't think it should, but Burifict has cultivated a reputation for himself and it wasn't surprising they went the route they did. I also kind of feel the second flag should've been offsetting because JOey Porter was, for some reason, out there instigating.
  14. Lol did you see how eager the ref was to throw that flag
  15. that phantom call was nothing but Boger trying to "tell it like it is" and it got Tillman hurt. Boger's crew is awful and are consistently ranked at the bottom of officiating units. I have no idea how the NFL doesn't step in.
  16. The offensive line just does not look emotionally invested. First they destroy the drive and then when we have an opportunity they look blustered and frustrated that their team leaders dare yell at them to get to the line quickly.
  17. Somebody needs to light into the OL. They look so plucky and happy go lucky while the rest of the team is trying to win a super bowl.
  18. Was working a seminar in Nashville some years back when me and a friend noticed Jon Acuff and upgraded his seat because we thought that book was funny and we like him. True story
