  1. Exactly. It's also why I don't think we should feel content with our offense outside of QB and need to keep refining and building it up for when we happen to find the QB. Need more skill position guys competing. If a QB magically appeared next year (i.e. Young, Stroud, Levis), they'd have CMC and DJ, but realistically, have to think where those two will be in 2-3 years. Need to position ourselves for success for when we finally land that QB and not fall into the trap of just sucking until we have a top-5 draft hit. Stafford walking into that situation with O'Conner, 2021 OL, Cooper Kupp (who was the real league MVP IMO), OBJ, and that defense of studs was the reason they won. All of that coming together under a great coach. So we're back to step 1, bottom of the mountaintop: get the coach.
  2. Maybe they can walk Robbie/y to the Santa Monica boardwalk post-game and he kind of just wander around and stay there. CMC is probably already there posting some IG stories with Olivia at Century City
  3. You'd think a mascot gimmick poster would have a bit more pzaz and sparkle. Any consistent Panther-goer in the 90s-early 00s should remember the OG Sir Purr sideline air humps
  4. one amendment--realize I said HS instead of Incarnate Ward about Cameron Ward. Which isn't a HS/JC but still a strange school
  5. Yup. To be honest, I do think Darnold has more of an NFL career left than . Could become one of those backups that randomly has a good game if needed, but if he’s a prolonged starter turns into what we saw by his 5-6th start.
  6. ? I don't know I'm just showcasing the upcoming QBs in the 2023 draft mid college season, not trying to play GM. Highlighting who these guys are after the generally perceived top-3 is. But to answer that, I don't really know yet or have formed a complete opinion being mid-season. Each of the top-3 has their own knocks and it's hard for me to parse it out. And I like the potential in Ward and maybe Penix as well. I do know that Darnold is absolutely awful. Eye test, 4+ years of proof and statistically one of the worst starting QBs in the 21st century. I would not re-sign him and I honestly have no idea about Corral. Matt looked completely out of his element when finally thrown in and got injured almost immediately. His whole college career, pro day, and what we've seen gives me gigantic pause. Corral will be rostered, conditioning and study time with hopefully a good, experienced QB coach. We'll need a backup and a potential franchise guy and neither is rostered yet.
  7. If anything, the emphasis in my OP is about completion height, age, percentage, and YPA
  8. Why are you bringing this up? No one is talking about this dichotomy. Go start your own thread hombre. and edit: None of the top-3 are even runners. Really, Hooker is the only in the entire OP that could even really get that definition and I'm lukewarm at best on him for now. So I really don't understand what you're coming in with this debate for.
  9. He's also still young for a Junior, so may just stay at Wash St another year. Could use it. If their defense wasn't such open season for QBs, they'd be top-10/playoff contender.
  10. That's the thing, it's the Coug offense, he's not even dropping back, just throwing something immediately most of the time. It's why you have to watch the greater games for the drop backs and his pocket awareness when he's really needing to throw and not following their offensive script.
  11. Yeah his back leg is never compromised. He was full control of his upper body with a really smooth hip rotation. Left hand is always finishing on the target with his right in his back pocket. I've seen him lose that discipline/get some jitters at times, but when he is on, it is fire. The Allen comparison make sense when you combine that arm & upper body strength. He actually has a bit less to work on than Allen accuracy wise, but needs to get a better cadence and rhythm going in games.
  12. Corral's is tight and quick, what you see with Levis is like an assassin of the football yielding a laser sword down the pants of a greek god.
  13. I'd suggest the Oregon game to get a feel. Also, prepare for the Coug Raid offense.
  14. Between PJ and Eason, we have our best active QB room since Cam & Josh McCown
  15. I know they're in a post-SB funk, but if Steve Wilks and PJ Walker go out and beat McVay's Rams, oh man, that's gon be fun to see the fallout. Just triple cover Kupp and blitz Stafford. They can't do much else.
  16. Dug it up from an older clip, Todd McShay says scouts this summer measured Young just over 5'10, 186... So realistically, he's 5'10 185 but lean, not thick like Russ/Kyler. Great breakdown by the 33rd team, they're pretty conflicted in chatting about it. Rich Gannon and Doug Pederson have some good thoughts. Could probably beef up to 195/200 but yep, 5'10 195 is still small, and he's lean. Big risk involved but he's got talent. Question being, can he live to the next down?
  17. Just checking in...he's still fired! Woohoo
  18. I speak to their running ability yes. Pocket maneuverability & mobility matters. Running ability can be an added plus (but depends), but of course, what can they do above their d*ck and between their ears is the most important. But don't come in here with the whole 1999 running QB vs. pocket argument. Just stop while you're ahead.
  19. It's a gamble for sure, all depends on how these GMs think of the kid and his toughness.
  20. Levis yes, but if a team doesn't mind Bryce's height, he's got all the tools in the world. Absolutely love that kid's game. For every Baker/Johnny/Kyler, there's a Brees/Frank (and dare I say Jalen?) CJ, the OSU stain scares me more than height lol
  21. He's got another year or so until his hype train arrives.
  22. Overall accuracy is definitely strong but I've seen him sail throws to the sideline; though there not easy ones, he tries to make tough throws which is good.
