  1. That looked like Fischer reached for his Achilles. That’s not good
  2. “Stafford has been on the gameday injury report for the following body parts during his career, according to pro-football-reference.com: hip (10), shoulder (8), knee (7.5 times), thumb (4), back (3), ribs (3), finger (2.5), ankle (2), groin (1), quadricep (1), arm (1), hand (1), foot (1), That's 13 body parts for a total of 44 games, or 22.9% of all the games he could have played in. That's a lot.” yes he plays through a lot of these but his level of play suffers. He is extremely injury prone.
  3. Again the dude was playing with a fuged up thumb on his throwing hand. but that’s also the reason I’m hesitant to sign him. He gets injured all the fuging time.
  4. No defense in the league can handle the chiefs in the playoffs right now. I’ve never seen an offense or a qb this dominant and I grew up in the Bay Area watching Joe Montana, Steve young and jerry rice. teams are gonna have to come up with something that is beyond me to stop Mahomes. I dunno what that even is because the dude is just magic.
  5. Playoff football is completely different than regular season
  6. If we want to win super bowls we’re gonna have to figure out how to construct a defense to beat this offense. Because I don’t see them going away anytime soon.
  7. What defense matches up best against the chiefs offense because I really don’t know.
  8. Although now that I said they we’ll see if the turf toe affects Mahomes in any way. That poo is painful.
  9. I kind of want the bills to win but I think the chiefs have the better chance of beating the bucs.
  10. The dude held his shirt. Obvious penalty and not something you can just let them play. the big story should be Matt kicking a field goal. You put the ball in your best players hands to win the game. Absolutely horrible decision.
  11. Brady really is the goat as much as I hate him. He’s 43 and making throws like that at the end of the half. Dude just shows the fug up in the biggest moments.
  12. It’s stupid. At some point during the season you know what your team is. You don’t outright throw games but you start IRing players with nagging injuries that could play through if there was something to play for. You start looking at your practice squad and non 1st stringers with the intention of evaluating for next year. This should have been the intent by the front office before the season started. Get your cap in order, trade/cut aging talent, etc. although I honestly think we wanted to lose that redskins game but Haskins was so horrible there was nothing to be done.
  13. He is for sure a bandaid but there’s issues with signing him and trying to draft a QB at 8. Detroit now being in play for a QB and picking 1 spot before us is really tough. We’re gonna have to move up I think. That means first round picks. It’s very possible all 4 qbs go before us. We are in a very shitty spot right now and this is what qb purgatory feels like.
  14. I said in the other thread but his biggest problem is staying healthy. He had like 4 injuries including an injury to his throwing hand thumb. This seems to happen every single year with him. And while he doesn’t miss games, his level of play suffers. I don’t put the entirety of the blame at him because that org has had shitty coaches and shitty teams surrounding him (talking defense). But I think if we signed him it could be a disaster with our oline question marks, him being injury prone and his lack of mobility.
  15. Hopefully we know about deshaun’s status more concretely before making a play for Stafford. It would suck to miss out on Watson because we got ansy and signed Stafford. I like Stafford, think he’s a good guy but I honestly think he could be a disaster here. He is extremely injury prone. Like last year I think he had 4 injuries he was dealing with. And although he never misses games, his level of play suffers. You mix that with our question marks at oline and him not being very mobile and it’s a recipe for disaster. I talked to my Lions buddy and he said the fanbase did a collective sigh of relief. They were ready to move on.
  16. I don’t think I could package Burns in that deal. He’s a 15+ sack player. You have to be able to field a competent team around Watson. Pass rushers are top 3 most important and we’d be relying on YGM to step up and hopefully hitting on another rusher in rounds 2-7. Just remember how much Brian affected games last year. He probably was the best player on the entire team last year. It starts getting tricky at that point. I think we have the talent on D to compete they just need time to grow and be supplemented with solid players. I’d feel much more confident only having to get good oline talent without firsts then pass rushers and oline without firsts. Yes it’s doable but more risky. This is tough. I want Watson bad.
  17. He also kind of put my concerns to rest about being a meddling owner. Said his role is to make sure processes are working and followed not football decisions. Said he knew he has nowhere near the football knowledge that Matt and Scott have. That was good to hear and I hope he sticks to that.
  18. You want a team that consistently makes the playoffs and has a chance with an elite qb. The great franchises do that even if they don’t win it all. Some of y’all expect to be in the Super Bowl every year. That’s just not feasible with the cap. Sustained success is consistent playoff births.
  19. Yeah there are differences. Some people are more entertaining. Like think of DG and his catchphrases. This dude is straight business. I like him.
