Because no matter what fans think.. The owner nor has the players turned on Rhule.. The team is still playing hard and not giving up... Even with Darnold BS play the team has still been competitive and should have won Atleast the Philly and Pat's game if Darnold wasn't the QB... No way do you just say fug the season and you're only a half game out the playoffs..

Jmo if Cam has the time Darnold did this Sunday when the game was competitive.. Cam will be better.. Even when Cam was injured and being hit he never had the jitters like Darnold showed the last 5 weeks..

It's a move to save the coach and the locker room... They couldn't bring Sam back and playing PJ or Barkley the rest of the season is telling the roster we quit... They are only a half game out of the 7th spot with a wins over both teams in front of them.. You can't just quit and tank now.. The roster will turn into a sinking ship where no player wants to be here..

I might be wrong.. Those 2 were so bad I don't remember the guards.. And of course Kali was good..

Players have a way of showing discontent with coaching.. I'll give Rhule this.. I haven't seen or felt any discontent with Rhule from the players. Fans yes.. But players still seem to be on board..

Unlikable with fans I agree.. What player have you seen yell at Rhule or say anything bad about Rhule??

The rest of that Oline was avg.. This Oline is bad but that OT combination was like having 2 Dennis Daily on the outside.. Atleast on this Oline most of the pressure is up the middle.. Cam can dodge DT fast edge Rushers get him... Von Miller type mess Cam up...

All the players walk in and see Pictures of Cam on the wall.. He comes in wearing the number 1 Jersey... Every player turn into fans when he walks into the room.. They might know PJ but they instantly see Cam as there leader...

He hasn't lost this team yet.. They still played hard Especially on defense Sunday... But he had to make a big move and bow down to Cam for all the baby moves he did for Sam... If Cam comes in and follows Rhule and build a relationship.. The team will follow Cam's lead..

Rhule was about to lose this team with his coddling of Sam... The defense has been tried of losing rankings because the offense can't score or put them in horrible position.. The offensive player are sick of Sam horrible throws that has gotten every player tagged and bad decisions in the red zone... This seem like the only move they can make.. No other player "available" they could have signed that would walk in day 1 and lift the Hope's and spirits of the team and fan base.. His pictures are all over the place so he walks in that locker room and is instantly respected...no doubt.. And no matter what Cam is a leader of Men and a dog on the field... Example.. There was a WR reverse play or wildcat play to DJ on Sunday.. Where Sam was a lead blocker.. Sam didn't touch anybody.. Cam would've tried to pancake both the defenders on that play.. That's the instant difference day one...

Day one Cam walks in and has the respect of the whole team...

Who!!!!!! They made their bed when they got his sorry ass!! There were no other options... My point is it wasn't for the hell of it at all.. They thought they could rehabilitate and coach up Sam.. They were wrong... Most of if not all coaches think they can take some other teams trash and coach them up to their potential.. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't..
