I disagree.. I know they like Graham but Mitch is to smart (I believe) to handcuff the team for a backup guard.. Miles is a priority now.. You can't give Graham that much money and hope to build a team around Lamelo... Team construction right now is very important now that you have a star .. Mitch can't screw this up going with a loyalty move and not a smart move...

Let Graham walk if he wants anything over 8mil a year.. He is a backup PG.. If he can get more let him go.. Alot cheap FA point guards out there as well.. A non lottery pick 1st round for a guy this year who was considered in the same spot... If the team sucks you lose nothing.. If the teams good you're really not wanting to add another young player anyway... At that point you're looking at adding a Fa to take you over the top... Not that hard to understand...

Maybe a more athletic and offensive gifted Mitchell Robinson/Homes Mitch was in his bag on this move.. The opportunity to develop Kai and not lose next lottery pick to do it…amazing.. Kai or Kia isn't a better player then Vernon in college and isn't better then him now... He has more potential then Vernon but right now Vernon would barbeque chicken that boy .

No he's not.. Please stop.. Kia might be a better athlete but Vernon was avg. 20 points and 9 boards and 2 blocks a game at Duke.. Kia wasn't close to those numbers at Texas.. Vernon has a post game can shoot from 3 range and is a excellent passer for a bigman.. He just was lost on defense and covid.. That's what kept him in Greensboro last year.. You need to watch some Vernon.. And him and Nick got a year of development on Kia..

Iffy if he makes the roster.. But right now he is a bench warmer and maybe competition for the Martin twins..
