The NFL needs better research staff (YouTube / Sunday Ticket-related)
t96 replied to PanthersATL's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm just not a fan of the illegal streaming -- not due to some moral stance, just I've never had it be reliable and when I want to watch a sporting event I want to sit down and enjoy it not get pissed because it freezes up and I miss plays, dealing with ads, etc. Before I started using sunday ticket a couple years ago I just went to bars every sunday for Panthers games but that wound up being a serious hassle and more expensive than paying for sunday ticket and beers/grilling at home. I was fortunate to borrow a college student's email for that before youtube bought the rights, I think it was like $150 for the student package which was better, but youtube tv I think I paid $300, maybe $400, don't remember -

I'm outside the carolinas too and only give a poo about the Panthers, Sunday Ticket is a huge ripoff and I feel like such a huge sucker for paying for it especially a year like this where we suck. Through comcast I get the nhl & nba combo package which I only use for Hornets and Canes for like $150 a year, which is very reasonable. I think I could add baseball to that for cheap but don't care about it. NFL is the only league fuging over their customers like this but unless we start speaking with our wallets collectively nothing will change and I'm guilty of paying for sunday ticket this year and probably will be a dumbass next year and do it too. -
His passes were incredible

Hornets could win 5 before the Panthers win 1

Awesome win boys. Mark is such a damn stud, he’s gonna be my next jersey for sure. Miller showing his huge upside as both a scorer and defender with his length but most importantly, was seriously clutch. LaMelo was very rusty but PJ helped make up for it by dominating. People may hate Miles but if he does wind up playing for us, this team really could be a top 6 seed in the east. Lot of young talent here right now. Can’t believe the Hornets got a win before the Panthers lol

Is this not the Hurney special? Built in excuse for this staff, especially Evero -
Awesome dude and great defensive assistant/assistant HC but I thought he was a very flawed DC here before he got the Cards job so I'm not surprised 49ers fans aren't thrilled with him. Maybe we were just spoiled by McDermott, and Wilks wasn't as bad as Eric Washington, but still he wasn't great as a DC.

lol it's October 23rd nothing that has happened to this point in the NHL matters one bit.

Not that I saw, and apparently there is a rule that defenders can’t push on each other like the offense does. Which is a stupid fuging rule if the O is allowed to. -

on the eagles "tush push" play, why don't defenses just do the same thing as the offense and line up in a bunch and have the LBers, DBs push up against the DL to stop the offense's momentum? At a disadvantage due to snap count but still better than what they've been doing up to this point... -

Chiefs will beat either the Eagles or Niners in a SB rematch -

lol nope I'd much rather enjoy watching the season every year and having playoff games consistently than be the Panthers where our season is over by November (or October) every year. -
He and Burns in my view are both worth at least a 1st and 3rd, maybe up to two 1st rounders but impending contract situations may make it so we couldn't get that much
-
Adams will go to the Chiefs
-
The trade for Bryce then would be 2023 #9, #61, 2nd round pick 2025, DJ, Burns. Giving away 1st overall would look bad (still doubt our pick winds up 1st overall, we have an easy schedule going forward and Reich has had plenty of slow starts where he starts to pull things together) but man that return with Burns instead would just absurd. #9 and Burns alone would be fair, let alone adding DJ and 2 other 2nd rounders...

the mods here and Igo's complete lack of interest in the forum and improving it have really begun to turn this place to poo. Was so damn great back in like 2014, 2015. Now a far far cry from that. The team sucking doesn't help, sure, but no excuse for the other issues -
I assume you live in the triangle area? how is it getting down to charlotte for games on weekends? I may be temporarily moving to the triangle area for a couple years and if I do, was thinking of getting tickets for both, definitely Canes and despite the Panthers sucking I may never live in the area again so would probably try to regularly go to games while I have the opportunity. But wasn't sure how easy/realistic it is to get down there around 8 times a year. looks like there's a train that's cheap from raleigh and may be easy, otherwise driving or could fly but both those are a bit of a hassle esp. with tailgating, drinking, etc. you go down just for Sundays or make a weekend out of it? I'd probably try to combine with making some Hornets games too some of those weekends
