  1. To my original question. This would be if we can't land a top prospect. Do you play hot potato with a retread? Is Dangerous Quinn better choice than wilks. Raheem Morris? If we can't get a hot talent which most OCs are do we settle for those guys? Or kick the can down the road a bit and build our team with Fitt at the helm.
  2. Their absolutely right. We are about to get nothing for him. He's not going to stay unless we give him Charles Johnson type money.
  3. To be fair normally they don't but really what would show in this season he can rebuild this team correctly? He hasn't exactly got a great group of coaches around him. It's not a punishment to be a HC in the NFL in any capacity. Going by this logic it would be suicide to be a interim coach to begin with. Because absolutely nothing is promised. This would be the ideal situation. My point is if those guys go to other teams do we roll with a retread, just a guy, or give wilks a little more time to see what happens. I mean it's not anyone's best case scenario. Just like giving Wilks a 3 year deal wouldn't be either.
  4. Does he though? I mean McAdoo is his OC and I really don't even know who is the DC. Not a great situation to prosper in. Then again next year is pretty bleek too.
  5. Yeah and got out bid. Two first seems serious to me. I would like a 3rd next year as well but Burns isn't the player McCaffrey was.
  6. Didn't PFF have him graded extremely low in run blocking?
  7. Tyreek Hill plays for the Dolphins and is having just as good a season as he did with KC. Nice try though. Kupp has more yards in less seasons. Nice try again. I will give you Jeffrey. Either way you don't become successful with one good WR. Especially when you're paying him like a top WR. Look at SF and Philly. No one has huge numbers because the ball is getting spread around. I would trade DJ Moore for two good WRs and a TE any day of the week. Especially if they are all on rookie deals. It's a numbers game in the NFL and unless your high paid WR is putting up massive numbers and effecting the game in massive ways like Tyreek Hill does it's better to have a Good QB and spread the ball around.
  8. I didn't realize we got picked off for cheap. Care to elaborate?
  9. The reason I would think he would take that chance is that it would be another feather in his resume and would give him a full offseason to show how good he really is. He's in a lame duck situation as we speak without any staff picks. I'm not sold he's a terrible coach. The only thing I'm sold on is he needs more time. Even if we give him a two year deal it wouldn't be costly and would all Fitt to undo a lot of Rhules screw ups. Trying to evaluate him right now is very difficult. With that said if we can land a proven quality HC then you definitely pull the trigger on that. That's not a knock on wilks that's just business.
  10. I would say two firsts for a guy who isn't a all pro is pretty high and desperate if you ask me. Those picks could set us up nicely in the future. Especially since Burns will be playing for a rebuild team the next two years.
  11. I doubt they would trade that. My understanding is the Ram's don't have many picks next year.
  12. Not to mention we have no idea what type of defense we will run with a new head coach. In 2024 the Ram's will be more than likely retooling and we might just be hitting our stride. Would be nice to have those picks.
  13. I mean is this a question? He's the better QB.
  14. Look I really don't want to trade Burns but he's a 3-4 jack. If we can get two firsts and a pick next year I would take it. We ain't doing anything for another two years. And I say that with pain in my heart.
  15. Steve Smith was, Larry Fitzgerald was, Alshon Jeffery was, Cooper Kupp is, Tyreek Hill is, shall I go on?
  16. We had our first 30 point game because we played the worst Defense in the league and ran all over them with Forman. DJ made the play that should have won us the game but he wasn't the even the main cause. That was Forman.
  17. You're just making excuses to make him look better. Yes he's had good seasons but that's because he's had other guys putting up similar stats. 2019 was probably his best year and probably was when he had the best talent to take the pressure off him. Last week was probably DJs best game of the year and it was because TMJ was taking the pressure away. DJ is no Steve Smith or Tyreek Hill. He's a decent #2 with some upside.
  18. We are not even promised that this year. We win one more game and we are picking 5 through 7. Do you think we are going to be able to outsuck the Lions and Texans? Do you feel Fitt isn't capable of drafting a QB? Thought?
  19. Yup and that makes DJ a 4th at best because those guys out performed him. CMC was our best and most elite WR for years running way better Routes as a RB than DJ has ever done. The kid has potential to be a #1 but he lacks the work ethic and his routes are still sloppy.
  20. Better is a loose word because Moore hasn't been better than the guy across from him. TMJ did more to the Falcons than Moore did the entire game. Two splash plays doesn't make you good. The game before that he was completely invisible.
  21. Robbie Anderson isn't a #3 WR at all even if he's a dick. Also if Anderson is a #3 that makes Moore a #4. He's not that great dude and the tape shows it.
  22. His Run blocking that worries me. He's pretty bad or so I've heard.
  23. Looking ahead to next year and seeing the situation we are in doesn't look pretty. We are almost a million over the cap with little talent to boot. Even with restructuring Moton,DJ, and DJ Moores contracts we only have about 23 million to spend on Rookie contracts and FA. I'm sure the cap gurus on here could find a bit more money but it's still low and we won't have enough to make a difference in FA. With that said unless we somehow attract a all star prospective coach I don't think we should move on from Wilks. It's a win/win for both sides next year because it will allow us to continue to rebuild our roster while giving Wilks a full year as head coach. While I'm rarely for these type of situations this just makes sense if quality candidates pass on the Panthers bad situation. I would also like to hear from some of the better cap Gurus to maybe break down how we would land a quality HC with our situation because as I've said I'm not a wizard with that.
  24. That's not a certain thing. Elite WRs find ways to get open even on bad teams. DJ for most of his career has relied on a better WR across from him to get him open. If he continues on his trajectory he will be a good #2 WR for the rest of his career.
