  1. Really don't get all the Kafka love. What am I missing?
  2. Indeed. I’m willing to be patient to find the right fit.
  3. Not really. Average hire date is late Jan - early Feb. it feels long since we jumped the gun with Rhule last time.
  4. IF Wilks is the hire, I would make Reich my OC. That way you get 2 solid HCs for the price of 1. Then add in Fangio as the DC. That is probably the strongest cast we have a shot at now.
  5. The QB was not enough to win crucial games...and the 3rd string CB.
  6. Like I said, don't give him a choice. New coordinators if you want the job.
  7. No he's not. When has Wilks had even a decent QB? Never is the answer.
  8. If that’s the case, it should be soon. If not, it may mean he likely winds up back in the studio.
  9. Disregard- I saw your response earlier. It would be ironic.
  10. Why? He is a good candidate and in 3-5 years he may surpass the others.
  11. It was a respectable job, especially considering the circumstances. I mean, Sam Darnold was the QB and we traded away our best offensive weapon. We should have not won another game.
  12. 3 straight NFCS titles and 15-1 wasn’t a bad stretch. May have gotten back to the top had Cam not gotten injured. Mistakes were made, yes, but Wilks isn’t Rivera. He is his own self who really hasn’t been given a fair shake with his own plan. 1 year in AZ with that roster? Taking over for a failure of a coach here? Things may look much different if he is given a fair shot.
  13. Good example of a flashy new OC not working out.
  14. There are many successful coaches who were not popular. The Eagles current head coach is an example.
  15. With those 2 coordinators, he just needs to “lead men”. Look, I’d prefer Payton, but not at the cost.Steichen is a maybe, but far from a guarantee. It’s a tough decision. Any of these young OCs are unproven as leaders of an entire team.
  16. My preference has shifted to a Wilks/Reich/Fangio combo. Tell Wilks he can have the job, but Holcomb has to go. I like the idea of Payton, but I like the thought of getting our future franchise QB more. That may take a trade up, which will be hindered by giving away picks for SP.
  17. Not sure Wilks gets to keep Holcomb if he stays, though I realize he prefers that. If I’m Tepper and settle on Wilks, he would need to hire 2 new coordinators. Something along the lines of Reich and Fangio would work.
  18. Thank you. I was going to request that happen.
  19. If Payton isn't coming here, the best scenario for the Panthers is for him to return to the booth. Hurts New Orleans the most.
  20. You can interview him after Sunday. He does not have to wait until the SB.
  21. Not sure, but I don’t think there is a rule like that. Wilks was interim so he is essentially a free agent right now.
