Rutgers and Baylor and brought those programs back from death. He will coach again in college and likely be very good there. The bitterness of his failures in the NFL clouds your judgement of him as a college coach.

Rhule would be an excellent hire for UM. He is proven as a good college coach. There are several of those who did not make it in the NFL. He builds strong programs with mediocre talent. At UM he will get the talent. It has the potential to be a very good hire for them. I just hope the timing does not cripple our chances to hire a strong coach.

Sounds like what you did to me on another forum recently.

Panthers conducting 2nd interview with Jay Gruden today
Wolfcop replied to UNCrules2187's topic in Carolina Panthers
He will take it if offered because he knows he will likely be the interim coach halfway through the next season. If the team excels for the rest of the year, he would get consideration for HC. -

That team finished 3-13. Interesting -
Our scheme? You mean, letting teams run all over us?
-
You may have not been one of them, but most on this board wanted him gone because he did not get the jab. I guess the Panthers showed him.

So Who Can/Should we Get as our New OC if Rhule Stays?
Wolfcop replied to Michael G's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't think Tepper will let that happen. Rhule's back is against the wall. He will get the best candidate that is willing to come. -
You know, I was on the fence about Rhule being fired until I just saw those draft picks on paper. That is freaking ridiculous.

I'd draft 6 offensive linemen...maybe a QB somewhere if it fell right.

ESPN suggests 2 QBs for 2022 for the Panthers...
Wolfcop replied to musicman's topic in Carolina Panthers
If this team does not have another option at QB next year, ticket sales and TV ratings will be horrid. We need a QB that is at least not going to hand it to the other team several times every game. That crap got old real quick. -
Dude is toast. Include him in the Watson deal.
-
His shoulder is not the same. That said, I hope he plays great and sticks around awhile.
-
I am glad to have Cam back, but you can't expect him to sit in the pocket and pick teams apart. At least half his game is the threat to run. If you take that away, we will not be successful.

Is that you Lt. Kaffee? (Tom Cruise): "You don't need to wear a patch on your arm to have honor."

Nice call my man.

anyone else think they need to resign cam tomorrow
Wolfcop replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
Love me some Cam, but let's take this slow. -
Walker did not exude confidence the last few times I have seen him. Our offense has been an absolute train wreck. Cam standing on the sidelines is not going to change that. I hope I am wrong and we pull this one out.
-
There is definitely a chance if our offense can start picking up first downs and keep the defense rested. When rested, we have a solid D. I don't even think the offense has to do a lot of scoring. Keep the chains moving and score 20-25 a game and we have a chance.
-
If we are counting on 10 spots in the draft being the difference in SB or not, then we aren't doing it right. Cam coming back will bring some excitement and may just stabilize the offense a tad. We are only a game below .500 and have a good defense. It's too early to start tank mode.

Would love this as a State fan, but I would be worried about him behind our line.
-
Not officially. There are other ways to make things go away without knowing where the money came from.
-
That makes no sense. Clarity from whom? There seem to be no indications that the legal troubles are anywhere close to being over. Tepper may have to help with some payouts if he wants his QB.
