  1. Yes, a strength of this staff is that they do not live and die with one way of doing things (on either side of the ball). Adjustments are made dependent on personnel, opponent, etc. I am excited about what the future holds once all the pieces are in place.
  2. Good signing, and it doesn't prevent us from taking a TE in the draft either. I like the way this free agency period has gone. The team got better without breaking the bank. Some of these dudes may be around for the resurgence.
  3. I would pay him 10M. With a strong CB, this defense starts to look solid.
  4. Sorry...'85 Bears. Right NOW we are the '83 Bears. LOL
  5. Our defense headed for '83 Bears territory if we get Fuller. Not quite, but I like the way things are headed.
  6. I wanted to ask this, too. About to cancel YouTube. What other TV apps have FSS?
  7. I love it. Panthers fans are already defending our QB. *Insert "That's my quarterback" meme*
  8. Yup. We were really close to being a .500 team the way we were.
  9. A lot of question marks about Lance. I am still intrigued, but would not want to give up much beyond the #8 pick to get him. Accuracy issues, issues throwing to the right side of the field, small sample size of work, he seemed to regress in his 1 game last season, etc. And if the Panthers wind up letting him slide past 8, I will trust their evaluation of him. There will be some real studs sitting there when we are on the clock. If they are not convinced that Lance is one, I will be ok with that.
  10. I like him, but I wouldn't give him more than $4M per year. Not going to happen.
  11. I am more fond of this than drafting a QB just to draft one. QBs outside the top 2-3 are huge gambles.
  12. Hey, we could get him back if he gets cut. lol
  13. If this really is inside information, it means they are considering trading him to us...which is actually good news if you are wanting Watson. If they are considering it, Tepper is going to make it hard to say no. If you you really think Bridgewater is going to make a deal fall apart if we give them enough other pieces, then you are fooling yourselves. If they want a QB, there are QBs to be had out there that are better than TB that they can get for one of the picks we send them.
  14. The questions of his accuracy concern me. He intrigues me, but not enough give up a lot of assets to trade up to draft. If we do not get Watson, I am ok sitting at 8 and going best QB or BPA. That may be the best answer long term.
  15. I would pay him to be a rotational guy if he is willing to do that. No more
  16. As awesome as it would be to get Watson, I agree with this post. 3 firsts...maybe 1 player, but anything beyond that....nope.
  17. If it's close, I would be willing to bet he gets traded to an NFC team.
  18. Congrats if you really did stop drinking, man.
  19. Hmmm, might be on to something there. LOL
  20. I feel that the Panthers have a real chance to get this done (if the Texans are willing), but they can't half-azz an offer and stay in contention.
  21. Their demands will drop when they come to the realization that Watson is not going to ever play for them again. Its still early in this process. They will need the draft picks they are getting in return to start building for the future.
  22. I love CMC, but if parting with him brings us a proven franchise QB, make it happen.
