  1. No one will say they're tanking but the ceiling is 5 wins this year lmao
  2. It’s perfectly fine to believe Bryce showed some very real red flags in year one. Because I agree - I have my concerns. But what choice do we have right now? We have no option but to give him another year. It’s like most people on this forum would rather go through another miserable season just so they can be proven right for random internet bragging rights. Are you even a fan of the team? Bryce is going to be QB1 in 24 and there’s nothing we can do about it. The way I look at it, we have no choice but to hope he demonstrates real improvement and proves to be someone we can build around. You really think bringing in Gardner Minshew or Drew Lock right now is a better option? Let’s just hope for the next 12 months he improves. If not? Guess what we’ll be awful again and can start fresh with another high pick
  3. It drives me insane how many people are still operating under the belief that if we just get a QB in plae we'll be good. This is the worst roster in the league without a shadow of doubt. Right now our only priority is building up the rest of the roster as opposed to wasting more assets chasing a QB only to play with the worst supporting cast in the NFL.
  4. Absolutely. If Canales meets with Evero and determines that they can collaborate and share a cohesive vision for team building and roster construction, then perfect! Evero has more than proven to be one of the league's best DC's and we'd all be lucky to have him stick around a few more years. But if Canales thinks the assistant outside linebackers coach is a better fit, and he wants that person to be his DC. Well, then, that's what he should get.
  5. Yup. And it would be one thing if we felt like we were close and he could put you over the top. But that’s not where we are. Get whatever we can for him and move on. Brown is someone you re sign and build around in my eyes, Burns is not
  6. Read the whole article and Schefter says everyone is committing to a long term, detailed, organized rebuild. Which is exactly what we need. But hurp durrr impulsive impatient owner
  7. I get we’re all in on shitting on everything we do right now, but do any of us have the first clue what this means?
  8. Our whole operation (rightly) gets a lot of criticism currently. But this whole process in Atlanta doesn’t actually look super clean either
  9. That’s one concern I definitely have. Is he the type married to one philosophy or will he gauge his personnel and build his offensive foundation to the strengths of it? Because the great coaches do the latter. I have no clue what he’ll do, only one year as OC we really can’t say what his approach will be here.
  10. Falcons have already announced Raheem (pretty much). I do wonder what’s the hold up with us? If we wanted to go super deep ultra conspiracy is there a 1% chance Tampa is trying as a Hail Mary to move on from Bowles to promote Canales? I saw a bunch of their fans wanting to do that anyways.
  11. When do we think we get a team announcement?
  12. The next time Verge makes a good point it will be the first time. Rhule got 2.5 years to figure it out. Where is the impatient label coming from?
  13. On a similar note, I wish Tepp would pay Pete a billion dollars to come on in some sort of advisory role.
  14. The softest team in the league as well.
  15. Every team so far has interviewed a blend of offensive and defensive coaches. I’m totally fine to be skeptical about everything this team does right now but what exactly would you like to see them do differently? Also, last year our search had a “direction.” We were set on an offensive mind and missed out on Ryans and Gannon because of it.
  16. I can give you loads of examples of teams hiring retreads and it working out. Any coaching hire ever is going to come with some sort of risk. Just because it didn’t work for us last time doesn’t mean don’t try it again.
  17. If you think you have even a 10% chance at Johnson I’m fine to wait and let this weekend play out to make a final Hail mary attempt. But if the Lions win, I’m not sure we can go an extra two weeks without hiring a coach unless we’re super confident we might get him. And every insider thinks him to Washington is a formality
  18. This argument is as dumb as not wanting to CJ Stroud because he played at Ohio State
  19. Yes, the Tennessee Titans. They have a pristine reputation when it comes to building and sustaining a winning culture.
  20. 16 of the last 23 Super Bowl winners were coached by a retread. I’d say the evidence shows it works just fine.
  21. You can’t look at those rosters Vrabel had in Tennessee and their yearly records and honestly tell me he ever underachieved.
  22. Vrabel easily clears the bar of a good coach for me. Let’s not act like he’s had juggernaut rosters in Tennessee. You can make an argument no coach has done more with less over the past few years. He's also exactly what we need from a cultural standpoint. He’s taken a ragtag group and won games on the road in the playoffs by playing smash mouth, disciplined football. Sound familiar?
