  1. Oh really Cliff you want to study Kerr and Budenholzer to see how they’ve been doing things? You’ve been coaching how long now? Kerr’s been with the Warriors winning championships how long? NOW you want to try to learn from some other coaches? Really? REALLY? It don’t matter though, our GM wants to use all our money to keep together the 4th worst record team in the league. Probably one of the 2 worst teams in the league but the other teams are at least smart enough to tank.
  2. You know Bryce Young was officially measured by unbiased 3rd parties at the combine right?
  3. Matt Rhule and his staff of amateurs had more leaks than a sinking ship.
  4. I don’t think we would miss Thomas or Tremble if either were cut.
  5. It sounds like Fitt and Reich finally had their meeting to talk about who they liked, and it was like “say who your crush is on 3. 1…2..” and they both say Bryce Young and start high fiving and grab assing.
  6. Maybe, they weren’t really on my radar, I guess it all depends if Jordan Love is any good or not.
  7. No, I just don’t think teams necessarily say that a lot when it doesn’t make sense to say it, and I don’t think it makes much sense for the Texans to say it to Young. There’s not really anything for them to gain from saying it. I doubt teams were having those conversations with Burrow when everybody knew he was going #1. And I think Jalen Carter is kind of a fool for doing what he did after a disastrous couple months and I don’t trust his judgment so I don’t think it’s a given at all that he has guarantees.
  8. Matt Corral? Based on what? I’m rooting for Corral, he’s a Panther and he got put in a shitty situation, but he has done literally nothing in the pros and his college tape couldn’t get him drafted higher than the third round.
  9. I think the Texans are dumb enough to say that, so who knows. But imagine you’re the Texans, you profess your undying love to Bryce Young, then the Panthers take him and you have to take CJ Stroud because you can’t get what you want in a trade down. Like every GM ever, you go to the podium and talk up your pick and assure your fan base that you got the guy you wanted. Then it comes out that you told Young he was your #1, and in fact would have preferred to trade down than draft Stroud. Not a good look.
  10. For me it is this combined with the reports of the Texans shopping the #2 pick. I don’t think the Texans would give him a guarantee because they wouldn’t want that getting out of the Panthers take Young and then they take Stroud, they would want the narrative to be that they got “their guy”. So if Young thinks there’s a possibility of dropping to 2, and he has no guarantee from the Texans, and the Texans are open to trading out of #2, then Young would want to continue meeting with teams that could potentially trade into #2.
  11. Idk they were .500ish with Taylor Heineke and no Chase Young most of last season, I just figure they’ll be about the same if not a little better. Ron may not be a consistently great coach, but he consistently gets enough out of his players to hover around .500
  12. Big congrats to whoever bet Young back when Stroud was the betting favorite. I thought that would have been a great bet to make but I don’t do much gambling.
  13. I like Zach Evans and would be a bit surprised if he was there at 132, but I’m not sure what value he brings to our team this season. Doesn’t really seem like a goal line or short yardage back, isn’t a great pass catcher or blocker at this point. I think that pick could be better used. I would like it if we hadn’t signed Sanders.
  14. Reports were that Hurney wanted to trade up for Herbert, but Matt Rhule didn’t. I think the first couple drafts Matt Rhule had pretty much all the power. I have a feeling some of that power was reduced last draft based on how he treated Corral.
  15. Don’t stop there. If refs treat Cam Newton like most other QBs in the league, the Panthers start a dynasty in 2015.
  16. Huh? Nobody takes QB #1 overall and has them sit. When was the last time it happened? 80’s? 70’s? Ever?
  17. Not that it will happen, but boy how sad would that be if a QB refused to play for the Panthers so they could play for the Texans.
  18. I thought they were going to be competing for one of the top QBs next year. Good on them for adding just enough to go 7-10/8-9 and miss out.
  19. Math police here to let you know that 2020 comes before 2021.
  20. Matt Rhule didn’t want Fields, just like Matt Rhule didn’t want to trade up for Herbert. Thankfully, Matt Rhule is gone.
  21. That throw was 50 air yards if I’m counting correctly (own 15 to opposing 35). He didn’t have to do a big run up or crow hop or sail the ball or anything like that, nice easy step up and throw with perfect placement and trajectory 50 yards down field. Arm strength looks more than good enough there.
