Canales was brought in to fix Bryce. That was how he sold himself. He failed. the panthers need a new qb, someone to coach him, and someone to build a defensive staff. Canales has failed at developing a new qb. His big draft project XL is trending towards bust. His entire nfl resume before the panthers was one season as offensive coordinator on a stacked Bucs team, and being on the offensive staff when a 31 year old Geno smith finally put it all together. And he didn’t even pick his defensive coordinator in Carolina. Assuming evero is gone, who’s he got in that phone to call?
