  1. What injuries have the offense dealt with? Thielen? WR is looking like the deepest spot on the team. the injuries have been on the other side of the ball where Dave Canales does nothing. He didn’t even pick the defensive coordinator. everyone would be fine with the defense sucking poo and the team not winning if the offense wasn’t worse than it was last year. What do the injuries to Shaq and Brown etc have to do with barely averaging two tds a game?
  2. Can’t wait for the defensive rebuild to be led by a guy who’s never had to select a defensive coordinator. Not sure if any bucs or Seahawks defensive coaches were in his circle jerk club.
  3. I think they were a very good defense last year that was actively hampered by the offense, far more than this years offense is hurt by the defense. I find the argument about the defense holding Canales back funny because it’s not like the 2024 panthers offense is going up against defenses that have had any rest. sure, number numbers I get it. At the end of the day, moves were made for one side of the ball at the expense of the other, Dave Canales was involved in these decisions, and both the offense and defense are considerably worse if you take away what’s looking like a complete fluke against the raiders. Canales is not exempt for blame for this. He cannot use the team he had a hand in constructing as a way to escape fault. It’d be one thing if there was any improvement in the offense from last year, but I don’t really think anyone can say there has been. Certainly not any that justifies the overall regression of the team.
  4. Except that in this case Dave is in charge of and hired the pit crew.
  5. The best part of that opening td drive was Bryce’s scramble drill where he missed the guy at the back of the endzone. It doesn’t matter because he got XL right after that, but someone (I think sanders) was COMPLETELY uncovered slightly to his right just walking across the goal line. Like a pass that zod could complete but it was slightly to the right of his vision so Bryce probably couldn’t see him.
  6. I’ll never forget those first drive Bryce passes sailing majestically behind the line of scrimmage to a wr who did literally all the work. So beautiful it doesn’t matter he couldn’t manage a first down until the third quarter hang the banners
  7. And yet all those players were part of a defense that was top five in the league, and without them…. At the end of the day the defense was gutted/allowed to leave so the panthers had the flexibility to improve the wr corps and offensive line. The result is what we see. Dave Canales deserves blame for parts of this. He was the coach. If he had no say then there’s no need to keep him for a rebuild. If he was in favor of it then he’s a moron and doesn’t deserve to be kept around. if he was against gutting the defense and overruled, which I sincerely doubt since it’s not even a unit he has say over, then fug it keep him around because nothing matters with this team.
  8. As a leader of men can you see the only person bringing up religion here is you? In multiple threads? I intentionally left any cracks about this freaks beliefs out because because people like you would happily hop up on the cross to deflect blame. I guess you’ve shown me that doesn’t even matter with my you people? Also “as a leader of men” are you fuging kidding me get the fug out. Go teach fat kids how to set up a tent.
  9. I wouldn’t follow this guy into the appliance section at Lowe’s.
  10. I mean it’s been a while since I read X-men regularly but maybe Mr. Sinister could figure it out?
  11. if you read the article about his offseason, where he completely detached from football, sat around watching youtube and occasionally going to the mall for shopping, in the proper clinical setting those are symptoms of depression.
  12. the moves that gutted the defense were made after he was hired. did he have no say?
  13. He was spending his travel per diems on strippers and booze while his wife back home couldn’t afford groceries for their children.
  14. I think with the 2001 team specifically it depends if it was before or after the redskins game. prior to the redskins game they were very competitive, just couldn’t catch a break. Then Arrington housed that interception and the entire teams souls left their bodies and independence could have beat them.
  15. I work nights at the hospital and sometimes I have easy nights. what’s your reason for being awake at 1130?
  16. Yeah but we’ll never know what actually happened with reich, because I think at this point we all agree no former nfl player would have met Bryce and drafted him.
  17. That’s not the point. The Panthers need someone who has a good eye for talent, especially with the draft. The best rookie player on the team (I think most of us would agree) was waived. Doesn’t fill me with confidence he’s the guy to lead the rebuild.
  18. Again, no one forced him to take the job. and again, no one else considered him for it.
  19. I don’t know. I haven’t watched those games. they probably dog walk the panthers tho
  20. I’m not ignoring anything. You seem to think I’m expecting wins, which isn’t the case. I’m just looking for competent offensive performances. To put this another way, the panthers defense went from worst in the league in 2001 to a top three unit in 2002. They didn’t have a great win loss total (way better than this poo lmao) but it was clear the team was moving in the right direction. Panthers were the worst team in the league last year and look even worse this year. The defense was gutted to improve the offense, and yeah having Marcus Mariota light you up sucks but that doesn’t mean the offense gets a pass for scoring only a pity touchdown in the game. and if we’re being honest, shouldn’t a competent offense score more points with a terrible defense because they have to keep up? Hasn’t been the case with the panthers across multiple QBs, with one exception.
  21. Yeah so defense wasnt the issue today. I agree. And “detailed by penalty” yeah poorly coached teams get penalties let me ask this a different way; could Canales give a coaching performance so bad this season he deserved to be fired, in yours eyes? If not there’s no real point in continuing this conversation.
