I don't want all the stupid out. Both my kids are in college and doing well. That doesn't mean I'm dead or done. I want to continue to be the guy that buys shots of Jameson after the huddle draft party...and get phone numbers of girls wondering what we are doing. Byrd was on the Cat Chronicles podcast and he said he returned punts everyday in practice in college. Never did it in a game but said he's very comfortable doing it.

I like RW and think he's good. I just don't think he's great. I do think he has benefited mightily from an outstanding team...minus outstanding WRs. I think he should be considered a franchise QB and should get paid like one. I don't know how Seattle is going to do it but they should. But I think Cam is special. A prototype that will show the NFL what playing Madden looks like in real life. Results of a team sport are hard to make individual comparisons. But that's most of what we have to use.

I agree but we also won't have many guys signed either. I think I saw somewhere earlier this yr that, under current contracts, we will have like 25 guys signed in 2017. So we still have a lot of players to sign. But I agree with you and I think signing Norman now would be a good idea. And Cam's contract while huge just might be team friendly in future signing perspective.

I'm guessing 2016 and 2017 will be big cap hit numbers but not so big we won't sign Luke. But Norman might be iffy. But if it goes down after that we are in good position to sign other significant guys. Add in drafting well and it looks like dominance for the next 5 years and beyond.

The front loading could help us. Seems most contract balloon over time so you know there's a restructuring coming or the player gets cut. This may not balloon, allowing us to sign other guys as they become available.

That's great news! Depending on how its structured, it may help us by not growing huge later allowing us to sign the other guys. Front loading my be beneficial.

I think there is a sociological reason Facebook doesn't have a "don't like button". Probably something to do with negativity not fostering good, productive communication. But this place doesn't have that problem so I'm all for it.
