  1. They would be lucky to get a conditional 7th round pick for him.
  2. I’d love to see the owner’s vote on this to approve the sale of the Denver’s Egos
  3. Indy would be almost perfect for Watson. But horrible for Texans. Anyone else interested would be severely hampering their ability to surround him with a decent roster by giving up so much to acquire him. Philly maybe and even that’s a stretch.
  4. He may be gone but there is no scenario where the Panthers get all 19M back to use towards the cap, as you said would happen. Again explain how this would be possible?
  5. That’s just an example. Now answer how some self proclaimed insider has more contacts and credibility than Jeremiah?
  6. What pick swap is going to get a team to take on 19M for a useless QB? Explain this magical scenario.
  7. Albright? The dork who trashed Cam at every opportunity when he was drafted and claimed Nolan Nawrocki was dead on about Cam and his fake smile. What makes him credible and DJ(former scout and employee of NFL network) not. Because you want to believe one and not the other.
  8. At least he has actual people in the NFL he knows and doesn’t just guess based of various other guesses from “insiders” on Twitter.
  9. How are they going to dump Darnold and not pay all(or almost all) of his 19M salary as you previously suggested. They had to pay 17M of Teddy’s 20M last year to dump him and Teddy was at least almost average. Darnold is far from that.
  10. Retired before 50 and own a business I got multiple offers over 100M for in the past 6 months. How horrible it is to be me. Sorry it doesn’t compare fo your stock boy position at Walmart. I made more betting on under Win total for the Panthers than you did working.
  11. And this is the response of someone who the closest they ever got to a football field is playing skin flute in the band. I heard the speech every year for 5 seasons from Bobby Wallace, Pat Dye, and Terry Bowden. First meeting every summer. Don’t bet on football. Period. There is no path back from it. Every NFL player will tell you the same thing. But I’m sure you know better with your Pro and College experience. It’s the difference between people that know, and people who think they know. Want to guess which one you are?
  12. It’s the absolute #1 rule told to every player beyond High school, much less the Pros, in any sport that can be bet on. This is completely different than off-field issues. You destroy public confidence in the integrity of the outcomes, in any way, and a sport will crumble. Ridley should never play again, especially since he bet on his own teams outcome. And with much of gambling being legalized, they have to come down hard on any player in any sport.
  13. Previous restructuring is why Shaq had that 19M cap hit this year. They have been kicking it down the road since they got here. And nothing about the salary cap management of Samir and this front office has been good. It’s embarrassingly bad. Where do you think all that cap space disappeared to. Why is a consistent 5 win team having to restructure just to field a below average team? A team picking in the top 10 shouldn’t have to kick money down the road. Contenders should. He maneuvered 19M to a useless QB. 20M guaranteed to a WR who forgot how to catch. 15M guaranteed to 2 of the worst OL in the NFL on the first day of FA. 31M to Teddy for one year. Boston, 9.5M for one year. Weatherly 8M for one year, Okung 13M for 6-7games. KK Short -13M for 3 games. Roberts, Apple, Whitehead, and how many more throwaways? The term “expert” is awful cheap to acquire these days.
  14. Contract isn’t awful to a team acquiring him. 8.4M this year is all that’s guaranteed. Then about 11M/yr after. Still wouldn’t give a 1st, but it’s much better than what he has now.
  15. It’s the same thing. The minute the player is no longer under contract with the team, the full amount hits. Even OTC includes it in dead cap totals now.
  16. That’s because they already paid him that money long ago. The restructuring of Paradis caused them to have to use voidable years to fit him in last year. That’s why he has a cap hit THIS year while not playing here.
  17. Shaq’s 5M puts it at 31M. Take off 3M for Thomas’ first year 5-6M for draft class 3M or more for practice squad 1.5M for 52-53rd players. Now it’s back to about 18M. Anyone that goes on IR has to be replaced Need some room to operate during season. For a team with the worst QB situation in the NFL. As well as OL. So how much help is that going to bring when every team with more assets wants these players as well. And how many will want to come play for a lame duck HC that mortgaging the teams future. That’s where the team is at right now.
