  1. You posted incorrect information that directly contradicted his information, exact contract details, and knowledge. The details are important. And you called everyone out while you didn’t understand the details yourself. And on to step 2 of denial. The why are you here is right out of the butthurt Huddle playbook. Last I checked, Cam was on this team at the end of the season. And countless posters said I would be gone after predicting that Rhule’s tenure would be a disaster. I was a Steelers troll for suggesting exercising Darnolds option was a colossal mistake. Should I leave for being correct?
  2. Most of the 3rd round picks are going to teams for minority hires. Not to mention, he’s a situational player in a 4 man front, or a liability if played too much. I don’t see him getting near a contract number that would garner a 3rd.
  3. I’m devastated…lol Was I wrong. Did you not call his take silly then conveniently leave out the main points that were relevant as you stated your own false statements? Let me guess. You enjoyed them until I said you were wrong about something. That’s how the Huddle works. If you want someone to pat you on the head when you’re wrong…look elsewhere.
  4. His base salary is guaranteed at 8.1M for 2022. The team trading for him would have to pay that. The remaining 18M would be dead cap that hits immediately unless after June 1 which would split it over two years. Which doesn’t really matter because it’s gone before free agency next year anyhow.
  5. I see you’re still trying to teach algebra to cats. How can someone not understand the simple math involved with the salary cap? And, as you said, the site does the work for you and they still have no clue. As they call you wrong and silly for being 100% correct.
  6. This is 100% true. Does it to me every time.
  7. They were 7-9 and 6-10 the two years before Colbert. They have had one losing season since. And there is no after Colbert to speak of. /END
  8. That proved what I said. Except owners taking credit for Colberts work. You really believe that Colbert didn’t do the leg work and research on Tomlin. And recommend him to them? I can find 50 articles saying Hurney was making decisions in Rhule’s first year. What was actually true. Or Hurney signing all those contracts in 2010. But a Panther fan knows JR told him to. Random articles don’t dispute 20 years of actual results. The Rooneys, except Art Sr, passed on Marino when he fell in their laps. I wouldn’t trust them to pick anyone.
  9. The Steelers( with Cowher) were in free fall in 1999. Then the Rooney handed control to someone for the first time ever. That’s when Colbert turned things around. 7 years and a SB before Tomlin. Do you really believe the Rooney are vetoing Colbert choices with his resume. The Rooney approved Tomlin after he was recommended by Colbert. The Steelers haven’t chosen a QB top 10 since Bradshaw. You are just way off on this. I think I would have an informed opinion on this.
  10. So how did calling me out work for you? Should we send the issue to OTC or Sportrac? Any other theories you want to call someone out on and get embarrassed. This was cool. Thanks.
  11. Decades? Typical. They invented bags on the heads for fans. And did this because they had a SB winning HOF QB. Not a bottom 5 team trying to be a bottom 10 team. When do we get the effective cap space bonus you made up. Tell us more about what you know. We can let @stbugsdecide who is “slow” on this or any cap issue.
  12. Of course not. It’s all a myth isn’t it? That’s why you have to ask stupid questions about it because you are unable to comprehend it. It would worry me if you thought I was an expert. Yet I have years of posts going back years to prove every word I have ever said about the cap. And one of the only other posters with similar knowledge has. Back it up with his. ITT. Go sit down and let the adults discuss money.
  13. I tend to laugh at folks that just dismiss what they don’t understand.
  14. Was a great game. Tough way to lose but Giants earned it.
  15. Every extension is “assumed” for the long run. But when you restructure two player at non-value positions and high injury rates, crap can go wrong quickly. I would assume also that someone doing it this “long” would be much better at it. But none of the Panthers front office personnel has ever been good at it. Going back over a decade.
  16. How are you getting money back? You can kick it down the road, but you still are paying at least 15M to cut him. That doesn’t go away. Ever.
  17. Weren’t you supposed explain how “effective cap space” was a relevant number? Tell us about all the money that coming the teams way and when?
  18. It’s easy to see how it was screwed up further. And Teddy, Roberts, Apple. Weatherly, Boston were on this staff. And this year 7M goes to 19M when including Paradis and Reddick. And 35M to hope Sam and Robbie can be less than awful.
  19. So if he’s asked whether a player is worth 13M for a season, what happens? Did he give his opinion? Was he even asked? If not, why is he there at all. And all that wasted money was unnecessary and easily see as mistakes when made. What about the other players? I provided proof your whole opinion was invalid. You got anything that proves what anything I say is wrong.
  20. He could have been cut for a 5.4M cap hit and they team wouldn’t have had to pay him 9M to suck. You don’t save money with restructuring. Ask Stbugs whose already chimes in. Ask him if anything I posted is false. Ask anyone with cap knowledge…..I’ll wait
  21. And as you have been told repeatedly, that restructure caused a decision made in 2020 to whether pay him 13M in new money or just cut him and eat the 17M in dead cap that was coming.no matter what. So they gave an aging, declining, and injured DL 13M for nothing this was went over many times that off season. Tre Boston was signed in 3/17/2020. 9.5M for 1 year of awful play. https://www.derp/platform/amp/2020/3/17/21184423/carolina-panthers-sign-tre-boston-to-three-year-18-million-contract Why isn’t he advising them on Okung who was just looking for a paycheck. Not only did they eat 9.6M for Trai Turner, they had to also give a guy with one foot out the door. Shouldn’t he be consulted on every contract John Miller made 4.5M last year. Then after no team would touch him, he came back for league minimum, and was right back starting. Weatherly cost 6.5M for one year of nothing. Seth Roberts got a 3M guaranteed deal and couldn’t even make the team. Eli Apple cost 2.78M and because he was on the opening day roster. Then cut. Check 2020 dead cap for proof. So once again, you posted a bunch of crap and hoped no one would check. Or you are just that clueless on how this all works.
  22. That’s because at least 5 of them are/were not good in any way.
  23. You think restructures save money! Keep digging your own hole. Paradis was ignorant. They are using 8.2M of cap space for a season he’s not even on the team. But that’s better than just cutting his sorry ass and acted saving money. There are no built in outs. That the website recommendation. As I said before, all contracts have an out every year. Just how much dead money it costs. That’s why CMC is so hard to trade. It comes with a 19M cap hit immediately. To play somewhere else. Take a look at the Saints if you want an example of restructuring and void years catches up. But at least they were a contender. Not blowing 80M to finish 5-11. Or giving two guys 40M guaranteed for,…reasons.
  24. Cut him when. Like when exactly can you cut him and it only be 4M. Just answer that. Then we can go further. And who’s responsible for Teddy, CMC, Kk 13M for 2 games. Okung for 13M at 6 games. Boston, Miller, Roberts, Apple, Weatherly just in 2020 alone. And this year Erving Elflei, the Darnold extension, and 20M guaranteed to Anderson. How is wasting this much money a good thing, To win 10 games in two years and wind up with numerous holes and little resource to fix them. How is this sort of incompetence something to be praised.
  25. It was me. And I can see you’re already spinning like a top because one of the worst run franchises promoted a guy who has made horrible mistakes, if he’s done anything at all.
