Finally… a CAM Santos comes to Charlotte FC via a TAM deal. For those unfamiliar with TAM - “Like GAM, a certain amount of TAM is awarded to teams by MLS each year. In 2022, that number is $2,800,000. There are currently no other ways to earn additional TAM. This number will go down in future years and the amount of GAM each year will increase. TAM is not tradeable and expires in four transfer windows.” Santos is a number 10 who spent last year playing for FC Paços de Ferreira of Liga Portugal (first tier) on loan from Benfica. Santos was set to rejoin Benfica B this year before Charlotte acquired him on a permanent transfer. Santos had 5 goals and 2 assists for Paços last year, in all competitions he has 6 goals and 3 assists.
