  1. Our old friend Santoso with the miss, at least he didn’t hit anybody like the kid that the Jaguars cut.
  2. That right side of of the Raiders line is straight mauling people… Leatherwood and Cotton.
  3. Highly doubt that this is article is quoting real sources but would anyone do this deal? https://heavy.com/sports/miami-heat/gordon-hayward-hornets-trade/ Hayward for Herro, Robinson, and Yurtseven… “If you want to give up [Tyler] Herro before you pay him and you want to move [Duncan] Robinson, you would have to add a pick, but those two guys and Omer [Yurtseven], that might be enough to get Hayward if the Hornets decide to reconfigure. It’s a short-term move for Miami, but they need to make their move now. You can play him at the 3 and go big or go small at the 4. He’s a guy they’ve had interest in before.” G - Ball, Bouknight G - Rozier, Martin, Robinson G/F - Herro, Oubre, McDaniels F - Washington, Thor, Jones C - Plumlee, Williams, Yurtseven, Richards
  4. Good article here on where we are… https://www.newsobserver.com/sports/nhl/carolina-hurricanes/article264181531.html Highlights - Necas deal being worked on, probably going to be a bridge. - Lajoie arbitration coming up, Waddell believes a settlement will happen. - A settlement opens up a buyout window where the Canes can buyout a player who makes over $4M (Jake Gardiner???). - Roster pretty much set, but Canes look at every available deal. - PNC Arena could get a new name, multiple companies engaged in naming rights. - Waddell wants online sports gambling legalized in NC. - Waddell said that the Canes are a cap team and if there wasn’t a cap that the Canes would keep spending cause Dundon wants to win.
  5. Finally… a CAM Santos comes to Charlotte FC via a TAM deal. For those unfamiliar with TAM - “Like GAM, a certain amount of TAM is awarded to teams by MLS each year. In 2022, that number is $2,800,000. There are currently no other ways to earn additional TAM. This number will go down in future years and the amount of GAM each year will increase. TAM is not tradeable and expires in four transfer windows.” Santos is a number 10 who spent last year playing for FC Paços de Ferreira of Liga Portugal (first tier) on loan from Benfica. Santos was set to rejoin Benfica B this year before Charlotte acquired him on a permanent transfer. Santos had 5 goals and 2 assists for Paços last year, in all competitions he has 6 goals and 3 assists.
  6. Charlotte FC gets their midfielder… Nuno Santos from Benfica B.
  7. Looks like Charlotte got $400K in GAM for Makoun which is solid.
  8. Nathan Byrne added from Derby, has spent most of his years in the Championship, primarily a right back but has experience at left back and right mid. In - Byrne, Malanda, Romero (Homegrown), GAM (for Makoun) Out - Makoun, Franco, Ortiz, Ruiz Looks like we have one more signing on the way, a central midfielder.
  9. Winning all the home games would help, but they have some tough teams coming to The Bank.
  10. Full Time Charlotte FC 3 - D.C. United 0 13’ Own Goal 64’ Swiderski 67’ McNeill (from Gaines) Much needed win, goal differential got a boost as well. Charlotte temporarily moves back into 7th; which is a playoff spot. We have another must win on Saturday against the Chicago Fire. Until then, the transfer window closes tomorrow and apparently we have a couple more moves that are being made.
  11. Final subs being made. Rios for Swiderski Alcivar for Bender
  12. Charlotte FC 3 - D.C. United 0 13’ Own Goal 64’ Swiderski 67’ McNeill (from Gaines)
  13. Another one!!! McNeill with his first after a Mora cross finds Swiderski’s head, D.C. United’s keeper makes a nice save but it’s right to Gaines who sends a pass across the box to McNeill that he buries.
  14. Much needed goal! McNeill gets stuck in and wins a 50-50 ball in the attacking third and sends a in-swinging ball to Bender who heads it down for a Reyna volley that’s parried by the goalkeeper… right to Swiderski for the sitter.
  15. Nice little HT feature on our newest signing, Brian Romero (homegrown), hope we help him accomplish his goal of getting to Barcelona.
  16. Gaines is excellent at getting in behind but his crosses are poor.
  17. Own goal makes an appearance tonight off of a cross from Mora that Swiderski heads into the six and ricochets into the net. Charlotte FC 1 - D.C. United 0
  18. Would not be surprised if this one experienced some delays as well. Looks like a brief storm is going to roll in a little after kickoff.
  19. Finally some soccer… GK - Kahlina RB - Afful RCB - Corujo LCB - Walkes LB - Mora CDM - Bronico RCM - McNeill LCM - Bender RW - Gaines ST - Swiderski LW - Reyna Subs - Marks, Lindsey, Sobocinski, Fuchs, Jones, Alcivar, Jozwiak, Shinyashiki, Rios Not Included - Sisniega, Romero, Vargas Injured - Armour, Mello Incoming Transfer - Malanda Loaned - Zendejas (Charlotte Independence), Santos (Charlotte Independence), Hegardt (Charlotte Independence) Outgoing Transfer - Makoun, Franco, Ruiz Released - Ortiz
  20. So it looks like Ruiz is headed to Granada, worked out well for him, Granada had been in La Liga for the past three years before getting relegated to La Liga 2. Soooo In - Malanda, Romero (homegrown), GAM Out - Franco, Ortiz, Makoun, Ruiz
  21. So we did get some GAM for Makoun… that’s nice… So big picture… In - Malanda, Romero (homegrown), GAM Out - Franco, Ortiz, Makoun Still waiting on word about Ruiz.
