Hopefully they have an essay question on the next job application for the head coaching position of the Panthers asking how prospective coaches plan to use their timeouts.

You mean to tell me what worked in college doesn't always work in the pros? It took Joe Burrow a full year to learn an NFL offense well enough to where he looks like a decent QB. Cam came in and learned enough of LSU’s playbook (in a week and a half) where he could play a full game in the NFL… something isn’t right here.

Who exactly is going to teach him? Rhule had spent exactly one year in an NFL organization before getting the head coaching job of the Carolina Panthers… I know he’s buddies with Tom Coughlin and that makes me even more worried. There’s not a whole lot of NFL experience on our coaching staff and it shows. I definitely think coaches can learn but I’m not exactly sure who Rhule can learn from other than himself.

I think at that pick that we were all hoping he’d somehow be a Suh (younger years without the dirty play) type of player. If anything he’s been more Michael Brockers.

Ol’ Derrick Brown was supposed to fix that… unfortunately he hasn’t and in the process we missed out on fixing the other side of the line with a player like Wirfs or Becton.

At this point they just need to Ted Lasso this poo… Let Rhule coach Charlotte FC and hire an actual NFL quality coach to manage the Panthers.

I hope this board comes around and supports a real time like the Carolina Hurricanes.

Marty Hurney… the gift that keeps on giving. Nothing says “I have NFL GM qualifications” like hosting a radio show that no one listens to.

Patience is fine... Rome wasn’t built in a day… but you can’t convince a fanbase to wait five years for some sense of relevance when it’s taken the Patriots one year. Hell… Ron had three playoff appearances and a Super Bowl appearance within five years. Rhule would have been ahead of the game if he didn’t try to be coach and GM. He literally put himself behind the ball by dropping Cam. This essentially feels like year one when we are half way through year two. I think he’ll be given one more year but if this team doesn’t make the playoffs next year then he’s gone.

Nope… had more posts on this board than nearly everyone here under my old username (MooseOnDaLoose). I took a five year break from the board to pursue some goals of mine… so forgive me if I wasn’t active during the two weeks that this was discussed.

Define 5 year rebuild? What’s the goal? Super Bowl, playoffs, 8 wins? Some of us might not even be around three years from now…

The sad thing is he wasn’t the only one. The Giants did to they just weren’t keen on giving the keys to the lambo to an 18 year old out of HS. Rhule must have a way with words.

Shocking that a college coach at a power five school that lost to Liberty, UTSA, and Duke in a span of three weeks is wayyyyy in over his head… just shocking. Matt Rhule wasn’t the best coach for the job, he was the best salesman. In college you don’t have to be the best coach, just the best used car salesman. He sold out at Temple when he told his players that he wasn’t leaving. He sold out at Baylor when his players found out he was leaving through the media. He sold out here when he let his ego get bigger than the team and got rid of Cam so he could run things “his way”. Just think how stupid it it is that we fired someone and then begged them to come back after we realized we messed up. Fugging idiotic organization from top to bottom.

Defense played like ass, way too many penalties, offensive play calling was too safe.

Couldn’t find anyone to go to.
