  1. I’d do P.J. and the New Orleans pick for Poetl, keep Jones out.
  2. Yeah his technique is pretty poor but I’m guessing that doesn’t matter at UNI because the d-lineman he is going up against are probably sub 300 lbs. and just can’t match his strength.
  3. Kupchak usually sits out the trade deadline so not surprising. The way the team is playing now they might miss the playoffs all together so there’s no point in trading away picks.
  4. If we’re trading with Miami, I’d want Yurtseven, Strus, and the 2026 second round pick they picked up from OKC for Washington (they can keep Morris). We’d have to open up one roster spot, most likely getting rid of Vernon Carey. When healthy: G- Ball, Martin G - Rozier, Strus F - Hayward, Oubre F - Bridges, McDaniels C - Plumlee, Yurtseven Depth G - Smith G - Bouknight F - Thor F - Jones C - Richards
  5. The big thing with Penning (and scouts have hit on this) is that he needs to play with more consistent leverage and hip bend. He stands straight up quite a bit and just used his brute strength to overpower guys which won’t be as successful in the NFL. Worst case scenario though is that he kicks inside and is a mauler guard like Norwell was for us.
  6. The Kai Jones trade was actually with New York. We traded a protected first round pick. The protections are 1-18 next year, 1-16 in 2023, 1-14 in 2024 and 1-14 in 2025. If not conveyed by then, the pick will become two future second-rounders. We acquired the protected first round pick from New Orleans for Devonte Graham.
  7. Possibly, but I was betting on NO missing the playoffs and the first rounder becoming two seconds.
  8. The only way you do this trade is if Morris gets cleared. He’s been out for months and some in the Heat organization don’t even want to clear him.
  9. You aren’t getting anything of quality without giving up quality. That’s been the story of this trade deadline. See Sacramento trading Haliburton and Hield for Sabonis.
  10. No chance that NO’s pick is higher. They’d have to manage to win two play in games and get it in over the likes of the Clippers and Lakers.
  11. The Raptors, Heat, and Rockets are being linked to Washington. For the Raptors, they don’t have a whole lot that really helps us. The only trade that I could really come up with is P.J. Washington and Vernon Carey for Chris Boucher (expiring contract), Precious Achiuwa, and a 2nd round pick. This trade essentially provides us with cap space and young power forward in Achiuwa. Like the Raptors, the Heat don’t have much to offer us. One scenario is P.J. Washington and the protected first round pick we obtained from New Orleans for Max Strus, Udonis Haslem (buy out), and Miami’s first round pick. This trade gets us another guy who can stretch the floor and a first round pick. Now for Houston, we should be all over Christian Wood. P.J. Washington, James Bouknight (essentially a first round pick), and Ish Smith for Christian Wood seems like a solid deal for everyone involved.
  12. Well… no idea what happened because there weren’t any updates from our side but we fell to Nashville 3-1
  13. You don’t want him anyway if that’s the going rate for Pacers players. It’s obvious that we are still a ways off. The Hornets need to focus on shedding some salary.
  14. I’m not really able to gauge what’s going on here because Charlotte didn’t release a starting XI and they aren’t providing updates. I will say that Nashville started arguably their best XI.
  15. Match Day #2 Unfortunately it’s another closed friendly, this time against Nashville SC. I assume our social media team will keep us informed. This will be the last friendly before we head to Charleston for the Carolina Challenge Cup.
  16. Good deal, he’s doing great work with Charlotte FC. I also like that he’s down to earth and has a social media presence.
  17. We’ll he still be involved with Charlotte FC or just Tepper’s stuff?
  18. Yep, it’s always something. I don’t have a magic 8 ball so I don’t know who or if any of these guys are going to amount to anything but odds are that at least one of these QB’s develops into a starter. I definitely think Willis, Howell, and Corral have some tools to work with.
  19. Let’s be honest, at the end of the day these evaluators are wrong just as much as fans. In recent memory, a lot of evaluators were super low on Herbert where as Marty Hurney was super high on him… just goes to show that no one really knows anything. At the end of the day it’s a crapshoot but you stand to do better if you draft players with a supreme work ethic (i.e. Cam Newton).
  20. Borrego definitely said something that crossed the line because LaMelo grabbed Bouknight before he even got up. It’s like LaMelo knew what was about to happen.
  21. Not necessarily, dual threat QB’s have their offenses tailored to them for the most part.
