Good to see Bunts get a 5v5 goal. Statistically he hasn’t been great 5v5 but if he starts to produce more at even strength then we’ll be in good shape.

Once we’re the through the TDL the roster limit no longer applies. The Canes can have as many players on their active roster as they want so long as that player is signed to one of the 50 contracts allowed by the NHL.

If Martin wins again, I’d have a hard time trading him and I was very vocal about not wanting him to begin with. He’s been a calming presence in net and has beaten two Stanley Cup contenders. Factoring in injury history, I just can’t see us keeping Freddie, Raanta, and Kochetkov over Freddie, Kochetkov, and Martin. I’d either IR, trade, or waive Raanta with the intent of sending him to the AHL.
-
Well he’d just be a throw in salary. Basically if the Canes wanted to upgrade their forward depth and there was a guy with term they were interested in that had a cap hit of $3.75M the Canes could use Raanta’s and Lemieux’s expiring contracts as salary fillers along with the cap space they have and picks and prospects to get a deal done. You’d basically be giving picks and prospects and cap space to a team for a guy with term. In reality though it only works for a player with term that a team might be trying to shed.

Martin has been pretty good. I’d actually try to give him more work and see if he can sustain it before trading him. If he can sustain it then I’d look at making him the future backup to Kochetkov. I’d look at including Raanta’s salary as a part of a bigger trade.
-
Kochetkov now requires waivers so he isn’t going anywhere. If and when all four goalies are healthy, someone has to go, and I think that someone is Raanta. Other option is to take Freddie off of IR and throw Raanta on IR.

Love the Corley pick. Encourage anyone who hasn’t watched him to do so. He’s in that Steve Smith, D.J. Moore, Deebo Samuel mold. He simply doesn’t get tackled by the first defender and has very good speed.

I love this team.

Brandon Miller and Tre Mann are balling.

One of the best passes you’ll ever see by Jarvis. Fugging back hand saucer.

Haven’t seen a UNC team struggle against the zone like this in a long time. Roy always had the Heels ready to go against the zone. Carolina has to get this figured out.
-
Don’t think any team would take that contract right now unless we attached a first round pick to it. But I’m at the point that I’d look at trying him out on the wing again.

KK needs to shoot the puck. Fast had that on a platter for him.
-
Yeah but make the goal scorer beat you high with a good shot.
-
Hate five hole goals, also hate giveaways that lead to grade A’s.
-
Not a lot of info on this young defensive midfielder. He doesn’t seem to be a threat offensively so he could simply be a Derrick Jones replacement.
-
Really bad half by Carolina defensively, lucky to be tied. Nice to see Cormac get going.
-
Trying to conjure up a point for KK tonight… will take anything at this point, even a secondary assist. If he doesn’t get it going soon then we need to look at upgrading the center position.

Seeing this board come to life a little bit last night gives me hope. Fans will turn up if the Hornets give them a reason to. Cautiously optimistic about the future with our new owners.
-
What makes this even more sweet is that we could go on a nice little run and we’d still end up with a top 7 pick. Not to mention that there isn’t a consensus as to who the number one player in this years draft is. It’s not like winning games is taking us out of the running for a Wembanyama level player. With this draft having a lot of international and G-League Ignite flair, one of Cody Williams, Dalton Knecht, Ja’Kobe Walter or Rob Dillingham should be there for the Hornets.
-
We back!!! Give us the championship!

These new guys are really helping the defense. Even though the shots aren’t falling, the defense has been really good. Also, Grant Williams has been really good, I don’t see any decline from P.J. to Williams. Williams may not have 40 point potential but he’s super consistent.

Hornets Trading Rozier to the Heat
MillionDollarCam replied to Prowler2k18's topic in Charlotte Hornets
Rozier just suffered a bad knee injury.
